4 x Deathbringer Thoctar. Yeah...
4 x Dauntless Dourbark, not to mention Timber Protector or Leaf-Crowned Elder.
Please remember that this deck is just for fun. I know control and creature destruction would own me, but I don't care. Magic is supposed to be fun.
Ah. Wasn't in there when I commented.
I can't help but notice you have Terramorphic Expanse for no reason whatsoever...
Thank you, sir.
Good point. Swapping out Mana Cache for the Bauble.
Rise of the Hobgoblins. With Fire Marshal on the table, you essentially deal 10 damage to each creature and player for 6 mana. Manage to have Repercussion and Glacial Chasm out and you win the game.
I agree whole-heartedly with you on the Grave-Troll. I stuck him in there because I had 3 laying there and needed some troll action. I think I'm going to pull Spidersilk Armor from another deck I have instead of Gaea's Anthem. I need some way to take care of flying. I'm not worried about getting the creatures for Mossbridge. You need total power 10, not a creature with power 10. Tapping 10 1/1's is the same as 1 10/10. Fire off an Overrun and 3 creatures will do. A Blanchwood Armor will get it with 2 or 3, Coat of Arms can do it with 1, and Hunted Troll will do it with damn near anything else.
HELL YES!
You don't want to base a Day of the Dragons deck around tokens. One disenchant and you're done. Instead, use a bunch of cheaper creatures with decent abilities. Unblockable, Shadow, shooters, whatever. When they take out the Day, you won't be wide open.
There are plenty of black elves, including some that can produce mana. Rhys the Exiled has a pretty sweet ability and requires black to regenerate. Conspiracy would either make everything Elves for more mana or everything Dragons for a big Kilnmouth. Black would also give me access to more creature removal in case Intrepid Hero or something similar is on the table. But I think you're right.
Vigor is there to negate Repercussion's effect on me. Now, with the damage to their creature going to them, my opponents aren't likely to attack, so Arena, Magus of the Arena, Tahngarth, and Living Inferno deal damage to creatures while taking damage in return. Vigor makes my creatures bigger so that the damage increases every turn.
Are you kidding? You know you can adjust how many copies of each card you have, right?
Yups. Now I only need 2 more Godsires... Sigh.
The idea isn't to have literal infinite creatures, but infinite creatures for my purposes. Because I'm clearing the board while I create an army of massive creatures, I'm only going to need 7 or 8 to end a game with 3 or 4 people in it.
Shows how much you know. Deal 8 damage to a creature, kill it, untap. Try again.
Exactly, Strongpaw. The Hydra is there for a rediculously resilient creature that grows over time. Nothing more.
Agreed! I was also thinking of trimming some things down and adding black for Conspiracy and more elf options.
