I do like Vexing Devil (alot!) however I decided against it since it's not flexible enough for my liking, if someone has enough life they'll take the hit for 4 and if they don't have the life I'll still then they're probably close enough to dying that an extra creature is just gravy but not necessary, so I'd rather have the tools to burn off the blockers or hit to the dome.

My two cents on the what should or shouldn't be allowed: The CMC of a card must be no greater than 1 and whenever a spell is cast the cumulative mana cost may not be greater than 1 unless an opponent increases the mana cost.

Hopefully that would make it clear and robust enough to cover flashback, buyback, x mana spells and cards that add increase casting cost, probably making them a no go, thoughts?

Shimmering Grotto might help with some mana fixing, not exactly efficient if you're missing 3 types of mana for the Chromanticore but might well work if you're just missing 1/2, Transguild Promenade also has it's uses.

To be fair you do have a fair whack of mana fixing anyway so might be unnecessary.

I also built a G/W with Rhys in it too, I found Gavony Township will pump up tokens nicely with Joraga Warcaller as long as you can get the mana for activating both each turn.

Don't know if you want to try it considering the number of elves in there and that you already have Forced Adaptation; Joraga Warcaller is a one drop, Bioshift too would help transfer counters from the Scute Mob across.

Ah slight misunderstanding; Vaan was making comment regarding Spikeshot Goblin being superior to Spikeshot Elder which is what I was making comment to as being unavailable due to Goblin being the 3 CMC, don't worry the Elder is staying it's just that the Goblin can't join the party.

Wow completely forgot about Dragonmaster Outcast, as long as that's kept protected that's a mean one, maybe Robe of Mirrors or Aboshan's Desire in the sideboard to deal with removal decks?

The other problem with Spikeshot Goblin is that the CMC is 3, and the deck building rules for this deck is that all spells must have a CMC of 1 which makes the Goblin unviable.
For the original idea's creature here's the link:

Brute force was big consideration and had it in there originally along with assault strobe to max out some of those swings, as for Steelshaper; even I'm not sold on it part of me likes it for the obvious tutor/thinning plus the equip synergy, amd the other half is saying NOPE!
Maybe I'm trying too many aspects to the deck and should choose equip or enchant but not both.

Yeah did consider taking ardent recruit, and I may well switch it too a metalcraft deck who knows, if I bother to main deck Gwyllion/Divinity (so 12 enchants potentially) might be able to dump a 6/6 first striker to swing on turn 2 which is nice but maybe unreasonable to expect.

Another for the list, I'm also curious for what rules are being set regarding x mana spells, I swapped out some spells just in case.

Anyway a R/W burn and buff deck to add if you like it enough.

P.S. fun deck building concept you set up.

Yeah that's true, however I just can't resist the possibility of indestructible shroud, and if I can't get one on there are plenty of others to be enchanted.
I was wondering about Rancor however I'm not too sure what I'd want to drop, I'm going for a mass assault approach to take advantage of G/W's good P/T at low mana so I'm reluctant to drop Sigil/Guardian or reduce creature numbers; should I drop Longbow removal combo then?

Another impressive upgrade to my old design, good job, check out Dantanius who did a take on it too: he included some good ideas that might have a place in here.

I'm pretty sure he didn't have Archangel/Perimeter Captain in there though and damn if that isn't a dangerous with Warden/Token for uber buffing, even without Cathar's you'll be packing out some serious tokens, heck are they still even weenies anymore?

Anyway like I said before, I like it nice one.

Yeah I like it, finally this deck gets the dual lands and a better balance on enchantments/creatures it deserves.... oh and a sideboard.

A polished upgrade from the original no doubt, nice one.

Being positive, I try not to be rude online don't see the benefit of doing so, I enjoy deck building and seeing other peoples idea's lets me buff out problems/mistakes with my builds, heck I probably don't have a 'serious' deck that was made without input from someone else.

Not too sure, knight/omen/idyllic result in 12 deck thinners 4 of them grabbing land, none of the creatures cost more than 2 which would be an expected draw for 33% mana and I'd be worried carrying any more mana would cost in the long run: once you hit 5 mana it's unlikely you'll be carrying many cards in your hand that'll need the extra casting capacity; no instants or any clever play really with this it's a simple chuck it all down job.
Even with a poor draw the walls/warden defence/life combo should buy the time needed for 4th/5th mana. (I hope!)

Yay sleep deprivation!
Well at the very least it shows if you're tired you know the right card to use in deck building...... well that or me fully awake is the same as someone sleep deprived..... I prefer the former.

Intangible Virtue: damn that's just plain superior to Mobilization/Glory Of Warfare!
Well check out the big brain on Dantanius, good call, good knowledge, as for chained to the rocks yeah I can see that working for some quick defence and yep on adding some non-basic lands, just lazy deck building on my part.
