The main idea for this deck came from the deck Mono-Red, I Swear! (Sorry if the spelling in incorrect) where most of the cards were split-mana costings. This is a mono-black take on it
This is essentually a black aggro deck. Another part of this is the devotion part for Gary as a win-con.

I made a Mono-white deck like this once, have you thought of adding any of the Lieges to the deck? I.e. Ashenmoor Liege, Creakwood Liege, Deathbringer Liege and so on?

I haven't... But looking at them, they're the kind of thing that I base a deck around. They're also modern and this is a standard deck
Oh I see. I didn't notice that when I was looking at the deck. I almost never worry about modern/standard I play at so few events anyway. I tend to play kitchen magic, where you play with whatever cards you own.
Yeah. I only really play kitchen table but the challenge of designing a good standard/modern deck is great on here
For you maybe me. I like building ridiculous decks with themes using cards from all over Magic's time in existence.
