Gray is getting a lot of love. Don't you hate when it freaking shows up blue in your deck even though you do not even have any Islands to play Blue Mana with...it messes with the entire Mono Black Devotion deal. It is a pet peeve of mine. Why Affliction? I do not play Standard...but is it because everyone runs out of cards and topdecks? I mean...Affliction is only getting love with 2 Mind Rots and 2 Phenax cards. I haven't played it...but is it fairly consistent, I mean, does your opponent's often lose life during a game when you have Affliction out? I like your draw power. Too bad Dictate of Erebos and Whip of Erebos does not combo since the creature is being exiled.If you weren't running devotion...I would suggest stuff like Altar's Reap and Black Cat to combo with Dictate of Erebos.

That was the general idea with Affliction. I was trying to have some discard for it because I see it as a decent devotion and if it hits them for 3, great!
