Deck Description

Spent a lot of time getting ready (and excited) for a huge overhaul of a homemade modern deck that had won a handful of games against meta opponents as well as a slew of casual ones. $$$ became an obstacle, and several cards shot up in value and became a lot less affordable for me. Also, pre looting ban, haven't had the heart to figure out what to do without it in a deck already blind and deaf to meta.

Needless to say, this deck never made it to the finish line.

The previous iteration didn't perform very well at local Modern events, but it was fun to bring a homemade deck to play against serious players, especially because I have so little experience with events! I recall a particularly miserable loss against Krark-Clan Ironworks and a fearsome success against Death's Shadow (which made me very happy, I haven't won much at events!).

Deck discussion for BRIMSTONERS V2

Interesting...
I have a collection of 64 decks that I collected during 2018.

Seeing that you played the phoenix during October allows me to put things in perspective as I know I had to stop playing tournament magic at that time.

You seem to have been away from mtgvault for a while, or you've been hidding a lot of decks :)

As soon as the phoenix was released I knew I needed 3-4 but I couldn't get ahold of them quickly enough and they quickly increased in price and became very popular- a direction I was considering used Manamorphose as well and that was also out of reach for me at the time.
The majority of my decks are set to private or deleted altogether- I have a hard time putting them out in the open despite the fact that they would still be virtually unnoticed. Self consciousness I think.
Thank you for looking, though!

Being visible in here these days are hard, there's a troll in here that keeps trolling.
The result is that most decks are quickly ignored, and people wanting to chat often end up talking with the trolls posts without getting an answer.

Since the troll is often trolling just after I post something, I've taught myself to be a lot more visible than others, maybe you can copy some of my 'tech'.

The first tip is to be social.
If noone sees your deck and you don't talk to people, then noone knows how cool you are ;)
(Yeah, I'm definitely stealing from cgb here)

Apart from that I've written up an article with tips
Search again for the decktag: wdm 2018
The article is titled "how to be more visible"

I use tags to become easier to find, and I'm branding myself so that people remember me.
It's aggressive, but it works.

The most ironic thing is that I've become much better at a lot of things because I've been targeted by the troll ;)
