Deck Description

Inspired by magicmaster13.
So, via NorthernWarlord and magicmaster13, i have become aware of this challenge. The requirements of it are:
-Modern deck
-Only one color
-Budget as close as possible to 6 dollars

How to Play

This deck is all about growing creatures. Proliferation and Evolve are the two main mechanisms with a side order of Level creatures. The Paragons help too.

So ideally, turn one brings the Cloudfin Raptor, which evolves on turn 2 with Triton Shorestalker or Halimar Wavewatch. Let the proliferation begin.

That is the general idea throughout the game. It should be noted that the Giant Oyster also benefits from proliferation, as it dumps -1/-1 counters on its tapped victim.

Surrakar Spellblade with Armory of Iroas can get proliferated in more ways than one, and the Triton Shorestalker is naturally a good target for the Armory of Iroas as well. Basically, everyone who doesn't evolve gets a turn with the Armory of Iroas to get a starter token for proliferation shenanigans.

Enjoy!

Deck discussion for Budget $6: Blue Tide

Cool!
That's mostly the only thing that came to my mind.

Ha! cool. Thanks for giving it a look. I hadn't seen too many Blue budget $6 floating around. Gonna make a green deck and a red one also to round out the challenge.

Was blue the hardest to make work with 6 dollars?
It seems like it might be. So many really good blue cards are outrageous in price!

So true...
It was tough. This one is playable I think and fun, but there were a bunch of cards I had to ignore for price.
The toughest part is coming up with a cohesive strategy to make more out of the dregs of each color, but there were invariably gems I discovered each time.

The Paragons, for example, are very reasonably priced and perform sturdily in a mono-colored deck.
Evolving is also a concept which seems pretty affordable, as is bloodthirst. Both drum steepled fingers while cackling with glee at proliferation.

I tried with each deck to make it about the color and not overwhem it with artifacts. Seemed like cheating to do otherwise. Even the white deck "Mach White", which is an artifact-centric deck is a White artifact deck.

Good times.

What do you think of the blue one?
I've been wondering which one would win should each of my $6 budget decks duel it out tournament style.

You should test them all against each other.
