Deck Description

A self-mill re-animator deck with a side of token spawning that helps to power up the big creatures, destroy enemy creatures, reanimate more creatures, and even get in for some damage using the reanimated creatures ability (torret elemental/deathbaron/diregraf captain).

The big reanimated creatures are used to impact the board while the tokens interact with them to make them do their jobs better. Champion of stray souls, nullmage shepard, Grimgrin, gravespawn, and a couple others all interact with the tokens in multitudes of ways to help win the game. These work alongside spells that tutor your graveyard or just reanimate like Beacon of unrest and jarad's orders so tokens are not the only thing you rely on.

The deck is mostly self-mill reanimator, but the tokens are a positive side-effect of Sidisi, so I thought instead of just reanimating a ton of broken creatures, we'd mix in the token fuel to make everything we have better.

Any help is appreciated, I still have a couple cards to cut that I haven't decided on yet. I don't look to run any infinite combos and broken things that Sidisi can really do, I play with very casual EDH decks that don't look to do crazy things like Mesmeric Orb + Basalt monolith. It's more along the lines of Oloro control and basic Prosh and Malek spells.

How to Play

Get Sidisi out as soon as possible alongside some other mill options to get tokens up and creatures into the graveyard.

Use other reanimation spells to bring back creatures to use your tokens on to make plays and impact the board.

Win the game through big creatures and tokens attacking in for a lot of damage. A side way to victory is to stop targeting yourself with mill and point it towards an opponent with Phenax.

Deck discussion for Sidisi, Brood Tyrant EDH

You need mesmeric orb. Its the most powerful card for Sidisi.
Also possibly hair strung koto? Its slow but very good for the zombie triggers.

I would agree totally. Unfortunately this is a representation of a real deck I have. And Mesmeric is not something I currently own or something I can manage to find :) Once I find one and have the money to purchase it, it's definitely going in.

Hair strung Koto is pretty interesting, but I don't think I want to be going that deep with milling. Playing it right now it definitely feels like the deck is doing a pretty good job of it. I would pick it OR mesmeric orb. Both would probably be too ham.

Anything that you feel may not deserve to be in the deck? Or could be removed to slot in something more interesting?

Great deck mate! I have a Sidisi that is more Token based, but love your take on it! I can't believe I missed Deadeye Navigator...great addition and one I will try to get hold of.
There's so much value in here, but I have two cards I could recommend for casual play which are fun when they go off. Grimoire of the Dead (Necronomicon!!!) for flavour and when it goes off it's horrible for everyone else. And Mortal Combat...which I can't use as I don't think I have enough creatures for it. Both are more for fun aspect than serious additions...just my two pennies in case you hadn't thought about them.

Anyway, sick deck! Like from me.

Thanks! I did think of the token path before I tried the reanimator. I really wanted to try more grave shenanigans than token ramping, so I put all my favorite grave cards in and went off. I love both of those ideas! Though Mortal Combat is a bit cheesy for me, I don't like "just winning" like that, but interesting idea. The grimoire is epic though and Ill have to find a place to get it in!

Thanks for the reply ^_^
