How is it you win? Maybe with 4 Forced Fruition's you could Mill him quick. But definitely a good way to be annoying.

mill your opponent with Otherworld Atlas as you can bring back your whole graveyard with Elixir of Immortality

0
Posted 25 December 2013 at 20:06

I'd rather use otherworld atlas because it increases gradually and doesn't have a set number and you can have better outcomes due to it.

Ok, another thought is Unbender Tine or better yet Voltaic Key to speed up your Otherworld Atlas.

As well combined with Aphetto Alchemist you could really ramp up the speed of it. Unless You wanna spend an hour + on one game lol.

I mean the main goal is to get them to rage quit but if they don't you mill them out painfully and slowly x) haha

brilliant! I would throw some isochron sceptors in there as well though :)

0

That is a neat idea but I feel like it would get rid of a top deck to stay alive :/ You can run it but I personally don't need it.

many turbofogs due run at least a couple, and they also work with some cheap counterspells. Remand, anyone?

0
Posted 26 December 2013 at 00:38

If you're going to run Isochron with a counterspell, Memory Lapse tends to be better and less in terms of $$$.

You slowey mill them or they rage quit from it being so annoying lol

Not the most exiting deck, but stalling with the elixir should work against most creature decks

what about exiling Elixir of Immortality with Oblivion Ring?

0
Posted 25 December 2013 at 20:49

That's why I run 2 and most of the time you play it on your turn and you pop it the same turn to shuffle back in.

0
Posted 26 December 2013 at 00:03

you cant play and tap it on the same turn

0
Posted 26 December 2013 at 01:01

Yes you can, it's not a creature and it doesn't have summoning sickness.

I like the sound of it, I'll add 2 of them :)

0

it doesnt change anything, you shouldnt add them

0
Posted 26 December 2013 at 01:04

What do you mean it doesn't change anything astacius? It limits their plays ALOT since I'm not playing super high mana cost cards.

0

I would totally run this. it's a nice bubble deck. you just sit there and annoy your opponent until they flip the table. I love decks like this

0

I would have to say the same! haha

0

I would love to maybe add solitary confinement for extra hilarity XD

0

I looked into it before making this deck but I just didn't want to dump cards in my hand to the graveyard :/

0
Posted 26 December 2013 at 18:42

yea the trick is to use cards that can come back to your hand on their own :)

0
Posted 26 December 2013 at 19:45

another card you could run in here is wheel of sun and moon.

0
Posted 25 December 2013 at 23:32

I prefer Elixir due to the lifegain you get from it and it shuffles the library afterwards

0
Posted 26 December 2013 at 00:04

yeah, I love Elixir as well, but for anti-mill it isn't as good as wheel. sure you get the life gain, but it is slower, and requires an activation cost. also, I don't think that you should replace Elixir with wheel, but have both of them. in case you play against extraction or some such.

Perhaps a jace memory adept as a singleton could speed up your winning since your goal is to just draw people out

0
Posted 26 December 2013 at 10:47

I don't want him in my main board but he could be good sideboard material for me :)

0
Posted 26 December 2013 at 18:43

Perhaps for a sideboard you could run Leyline of Sanctity or Witchbane Orb just so you don't die to decks with a lot of burn or a couple of Zuran Spellcasters.
For main-deck, I would recommend Holy Day or Ethereal Haze, which are cheaper than Defend the Hearth (mana-cost wise) but serve the same purpose.

0
Posted 26 December 2013 at 14:53

I don't like making sideboards because it ultimately depends on what your play group runs so you can add those as a personal choice :)

0
Posted 26 December 2013 at 18:42

What about a burn deck? You really don't have an answer for that. You could throw in some Spore Frogs maybe?

0
Posted 26 December 2013 at 22:44

I was thinking of this, too. I would suggest adding sphere of law and sphere of grace. when they stack, they are handsome.

0
Posted 27 December 2013 at 00:40

Honestly who has an answer to a burn deck? Like 0 decks! xD

0
Posted 27 December 2013 at 03:06

The answer to the burn decks are life gain (typically attached to anything) or to race it.

0
Posted 27 December 2013 at 05:19

Life gain and counter decks are usually the best counters. Or any cards that give the player hexproof.

0
Posted 29 December 2013 at 17:37

Riot Control prevents all damage for the turn, not just combat damage. that could help with burn.

0

I like it...would hate to play it, but like it. What about Respite in place of Blunt the assault to keep mana cost down?

0
Posted 27 December 2013 at 15:47

Well Blunt the assault is ALL creatures that are attacking or not and is better if you play a lot of multiplayer like me. Plus that says all combat damage from Creatures, blunt the assault covers a little more ground here

0

I agree with the gaining of a little more life which can definitely give an advantage , however, the damage reduction is the same. Combat damage is only from creatures power, thus, "Prevent all combat damage" and "creatures deal no combat damage" is essentially the same thing. Any damage done by spells or abilities during the combat step are not considered "combat damage". You may know that though, i may have mis-understood the second part about covering more ground, unless thats just meaning the more gain life. I just feel like if you are in a multiplayer game, you might want to leave more mana open for a second combat prevention on some one elses turn, where as you might run yourself short by using 4 mana to stop an attack, plus if its countered thats a much more potent blow an opponent has done by fizzling something that costs 4 as opposed to 2. You could always replace defending the Hearth with respite and keep the blunts too. Either way, its kind of a moot point and i have totally rambled, i like the deck though and sorry if i have wasted your time :-) Cheers!

I agree with JonBomb. Also, Spore Cloud would be better than Clinging Mist. And I would also replace the plain Fog with a mix of Constant Mists and Moment's Peace. Seriously, there are many Fog variants out there that are better than your picks.

I recommend Sphinx-Bone Wand. I ran a deck very similar to this and that card is an excellent win con once you've locked them out of combat damage. Hallow in the sideboard vs burn would be nice as well.

I use a playset of Surgical Extraction in most of my modern decks. Always fun to see all emrakuls or vigors being exiled from my opponents decks.

put howling mine in there and supreme verdict...front of mythos holy day angel song. and take out the tezzeret's gambit otherworld atlas and put 4 elixirs in, but other than the it looks good

Beast Within.
I mean, it nukes any permanent your opponent has...and with you running Turbo Fog...the 3/3 creature he gets WILL never hit you.
And would consider 4 Rites of Flourishing.
