Mutilate never got played in the tournament. No deck checks = I got lucky. X( So I now need a card that does almost the same damn thing.

I see a couple problems with this deck. Any tournament deck built by a player who actually has a brain, will always have removal. A vampire deck will have feast of blood. A blue deck will have aether trade winds and then follow up with a counter. You know that thing. Another thing is the deck runs to much off of Lorescale Coatl. It needs more win conditions. Final answer. BTW, you just lost the game :D

What the hell? I'm sorry, but people who make a mono color deck, and for some reason add fetches for no reason make me sick. And I agree with fisherman, Kalastria Highborn is a must. Take out two blood witches and add 'em. Another thing. If you insist on fetches why not lose the life for something useful such as vampire lacerator, at least you lose it for one hell of a sexy 2/2. Alright, well, I never criticize without play testing, and with a mighty printer, I proxied the deck. And here's what I came across : I found that although a novel idea, I too thought that using Terra eternal would be a great strategy, although, I find myself unable to reach anywhere close to turn 8. You have certain allies that I find silly in this deck such as Halimar Excavator. Halimar Excavator, is a mill ally, beautiful in what it does, you can't expect to use it as a win condition in this deck, therefore, I found it utterly useless. Having these super fancy lands doesn't make up for it's inability to survive longer than turn 6. Out of the 12 games I've played using this deck, I got around to turn 6 each time. In my alterations of the deck, I took out Nimana Sell-sword and put in more Ondu cleric. By giving my creatures protection, it allowed more survivability. Another thing I changed up was putting in 4 Guardian Zendikon, 4 Perimeter Captain, And 3 more Makindi shieldmate. To make room for these cards, I took out Stirring Wildwood, Halimar Depths, Creeping Tar Pit, Dragonskull Summit, and a few others of the type. This allowed for better health regeneration. Now as for the missing win condition, I added, 3 Everflowing chalice for colorless mana, and taking out the kitesail, and spidersilk net. This allowed for the lands to be played much more efficiently. My final change to the deck was taking out a single Graypelt Hunter, and adding a Cunning sparkmage to work nicely with the Basilisk Collar. My overall notes on the deck is, while novel in the idea, has a LOT of room for improvement, and at that point, is not worth the ingenuity of the mind to continue the impossible. Tournament tested : April 3 2010, placed 5 of 8. Wanna take a look at one of my decks? Comment for comment?

Nice deck, placed 2nd, no fetch.
But, I MUST agree Mind Funeral is a must. They are 67cents, very worth the looking.

Not one tournament have I played fetch lands. I don't even play jund, I'm that pro lol. But not once have I ever played with fetch. It you make a deck RIGHT you will never need fetch, if you lose one for a fetch, that's one life closer to game... If they use fetch use it against them. I'll link you my current black fun deck. I used it in the standard tourny saturday and RAPED.

Holy. Hot. Damn. I proxy'd this and it flows like an incredible dream, by FAR the best I've ever seen. My deck is a simple creature stomper I guess I could say :P

4 Feast of Blood
4 Vampire Hexmage ( My friends LOVE playing plane-whore decks )
4 Gatekeeper of Malakir ( Sac saves my life all the time )
4 Child of Night ( Life link is always nice, mostly in the deck for Feast of Blood)
4 Vampire Nighthawk ( Flying, Lifelink, and Deathtouch -- What isn't to like? )
4 Guul Draz Vampire ( Simply for creature whoring )
4 Vampire Lacerator ( 1b 2/2 -- I love 'em! )
3 Blood Tribute ( Half life, gain half, Beautiful in team games )
2 Tendrils of Corruption ( Automatically 4 damage when cast, give a bit of time and it's INVALUABLE )
2 Malakir Bloodwitch ( Causing damage, gaining life -- I LOVE it )

Any comments?
