Deck Description

First solid-built deck after 10 years of non-activity in the Magic community. After seeing all the new sets, decks, attributes & card-types; a vampire based theme seemed expedient and tactically superior if played correctly. I see alot of Vampire decks, but it's all so... cookie cutter; that's why I changed it up & it works.

Minion Reflector used w/ Malikir Bloodwitch = 2x Life Drain/Gain; as well as other combos such as a temporary 2x Nocturnus bonus until end of turn. Works well with other creatures, plus a nice bank of cards to trigger Blood Ascension. Pulse Trackers are always nice for 6 life-loss @ turn 3.

So far this deck has seen appx. 30+ games with 1 loss, and that's including using Sorin to give my opponent more life to toy with them longer. It's very effective, but I'd love to hear input & recommendations.

Deck discussion for Exodus

dude I have to say, I was like.."wtf, 90 cards??"

but I drew a couple of sample hands and I could empty my hand without drawing any land on about 4 out of 5 of them. Vampires are totally all over the place right now, like you said and it is refreshing to see a vamp deck that is first of all, legacy, and second of all, actually doing some work to make the deck killer, rather than just doubling/quadrupling up on overpowered cards.

Hey I appreciate the words Boss. I've put alot of time & effort into thinking about the speed/strength buffs w/ the equip & BA being one of the main backbones to the deck. I'll check out, comment & vote on your decks too. Thanks agan!

For such a large deck it works very fast. One suggestion is adding Anon to tag with Blade of the Bloodchief or possibly Triskelion. Triskelion with Blade of the Bloodchief is easy creature removal. Overall i give this an 8 out of 10 only due to the size of the deck. Because getting what you actually need can be a hassle with so much in the library.

I might consider that. I'll tweak out on it later tonight; but I'm sure you can see how Trust Machete is the permanent Unholy Strength, throw in some greaves & Reflector, etc. Fast buffs & you can half someones life in a heartbeat. That's why I said for such a deck size, this devistates. Thanks for the words & votes!

Very interesting deck. The only thing i can suggest is removing some of your 2x cards and add 2x to something else to increase the chance of pulling that card out.

IE removing 2x Blood Tribute and add 2x Blood tithe, and removing 2x vampire's bite for 2x feast of blood.

For the sideboard I suggest removing the blazing torches to add more suffer the past, or maybe adding sadistic sacrament.

Forgot to mention, maybe you should think about dropping tneedlebite trap. Maybe it's just me but I never really liked any of the trap cards. -_-

Nah, Feast of Blood is too situational to harp in for 4x of 'em. For example if you're playin' a non-creature deck or hardcore control deck that hardly has any creeps; these other cards really shine. & Needlebite is amazing, the second they gain life, slap that monster down. You just have to be ontop of your game & know what you have in your hand & see what's goin' on in the battlefield; not hard really. Traps are pro, plus you only blast 1 mana off & if you have both of 'em, 2 mana for 10 life. Simply delicious. Just think, their 1st turn, they slap a Kabira X-Roads, you get a Dark Ritual & 2x Traps w/ the right draw on cards; They're now @ 12 & you have 30 life, right off the bat. That's sick.

If anything, I'm considering droppin' Blood Tithe for 2x more Needlebites actually. Then keep it in the sideboard for a multi-player game to stat dominating.

Quite possibly the best vampire deck I've seen, nothing much else to say except another fantastic job. 8/10

Awesome! Thanks Aaboy66, I appreciate the comment. That means alot boss. I tried workin' on this one so it wasn't a cookie-cutter like everyone else & be effective. With all the mad life gain, Necrologia is your best friend!

F.Y.I. Markov's my n*gga too.

Very cool vamp deck. As you said, not cookie-cutter like most everyone else. Although not T2 Standard Legal which is all I play. Its a very well built deck, normally Sorin seems misplaced and not very useful but in your deck he seems to have a larger roll to play. Again, well done.

I'm gonna give it a 9.5/10 because no doubt, all decks can be improved but theres little I feel you need to improve on if at all.

Would appreciate it if you commented on my vampire deck.

This is indeed a very good Vampire deck.

I rate this deck 10/10... the only main thing that I suggest doing is replacing your 2x Brush With Death with 2x Syphon Soul. Syphon Soul has the same converted mana cost, and it's very much like your Blood Tithe... Syphon Soul deals 2 damage to each other player. You gain life equal to the damage dealt this way. Even though Syphon Soul does not have a Buyback cost, I still think that it's much more beneficial than Brush With Death.

Everyone feel free to check out my Vampire deck... please rate and/or comment:

I'll definately check into & thanks for the kind words boss. I really like Brush w/ Death because if it's the only thing towards the top/front of my deck, I can keep reblastin' 'em to proc Bloodchief Ascension. But I'll think about, thanks boss!

Syphon Soul would only be more beneficial if it removed more than 2 and give more than 2 life back. But its basically Brush w/ Death minus the buyback ability. Syphon Soul would provide an advantage in Multi-player though.

I like this deck. All I would change would be to add a few more nocturnus' or sorins because it is a 90 card deck, meaning you'll draw them 1/45 cards! I like what you have already though.

Hey thanks, and the thing is tryin' to show how powerful this deck can work without just overloading on the powerful & expensive cards. ;P

I really like the deck. It's different from my vampire deck because of the heavy spell usage which seems to make it pretty strong. I really like needlebite traps because your opponent is normally going to gain some life during the course of the game. Good ideas all around on this one. = ]

Also, my Hasty Goblin deck is finished (for now) so you can check it out again.

I like that this has more of a vampire feel than other vamp decks. It never made since to me how the best vamp is Nocturnus and all he does is beat down your opponent. This deck sucks their blood! I would add some Diabolic Tutor since this deck has so many cards. Also I always forget to make them lose the life with Blood Seeker.

I am not a fan of the 62+ card decks but i just seem to be able to tolerate this one. for some reason it seems like it is just crazy enough to work... I like the versatility and at the same time cringe at the number on duplicates there aren't in the deck. overall: 7 nice work.
