Hey, I was just wondering if I could join the fun and be part of this budget builders thing. I have been building budget decks for quite a while, although not as long as Northy has. I have a few decks to submit still :) Thanks!

Which specific counters do you think is worse than syncopate? For spells I need to exile, I have dissipate, which usually is better than syncopate?
I agree that card draw might be very good for this deck. Perhaps some Divination? What do you think?

Sorry I forgot to put this in the description, but this is a modern deck on a budget, meaning Counterspell and Isochron scepter will not work in this deck :/
I also have boomerang instead of unsummon because it hits creeatures + everything else for one more mana.

Usually with Liquimetal Coating and March of the Machines, I pretty much kill their land base. Then I kill them off with a 2/2 Liquimetal Coating. Magnetic mine works really well too.

Since you're playing Ruric Thar, that would make this into a Naya deck. A Naya deck like this means Tamanoa is obligatory haha. You can take out the random life gain (Rest for the Weary), or Time Bomb if you need extra slots. If you need anymore help just ask! :)

Look at the date the deck was created, it was Standard back in the day, he just didn't change the name.

My suggestion would be Lux Cannon (2 perhaps?), Unwinding Clock would be nice in this deck as well. Last but not least, Everflowing Chalice would be nice in this deck as well.

What about Argentum Armor? Seems like it would fit well with the giant...
Grappling Hook and Scythe of the Wretched wouldn't be bad either.
Also, Ogre's Cleaver + Kor Duelist is brutal... just say'n.

You mean Fireshrieker? I would go with Assault Strobe instead...

Akroan Phalanx is a great card, it won me multiple games in a draft :)
You could try Boros Charm in this deck, other than that, nice deck!

Who is the commander of this deck (I'm assuming it's EDH)?
Also, you can try Elspeth, Sun's Champion, which gives you tons of tokens :)

Nice deck! A few suggestions:
- Galepowder Mage is what I consider a must-have in a bounce deck
- I would run Cloudshift as a 4-of, it's really powerful
- Wall of Omens isn't bad either

Note that you can perma-exile something with Fiend Hunter an instant/flash.
The first ability goes on stack, you return it (already resolved), causing the second ability to go on stack. The second ability does nothing. Then the first ability resolves, leaving the creature in perma-exile.

Have you considered Sliver Construct for more bodies?
