My buddy (http://www.mtgvault.com/overwhelmingdarkness/) who has been getting me back into magic plays black decks the majority of the time. I almost never play black. I suck at making black decks, and even when he lets me use one of his decks I suck at playing black. I decided to challenge myself to come up with a black deck. I started with the thing about his black decks that annoys me the most, making me discard, and tried to see if I could turn that into a win con. Then I added in the second most annoying card most of his decks have, Doom Blade. Then I figured might as well make this a full on tribute to my buddy and stuffed in his favorite planeswalker. Of course if I get this tuned and actually build it I'll probably still suck with it, and he'll probably just borrow it and thwamp me with it...
Abyssal Nocturnus, Liliana's Caress, and Waste Not are all there to go out early and give you good things for making the opponent discard. After that everything else is just different ways to make them discard. Doom Blade if they build up a mana base and top deck something good. Liliana's Reaver helps with the causing discard, but he himself can be kind of a win con. I know I've lost to him. If it gets to it, the Liliana ultimate would probably be an I win button too.
