Deck Description

So for this weeks weekly brew we are playing standard in modern,, no really I'm not crazy. So this is a creature based deck focused around one thing buffing your dudes. So here goes the standard breakdown.

Abzan Falconer: A dude that makes your other dudes bigger for cheap and gives all your dudes flying.

Avatar of the Resolute: A beatstick 2 drop that can eat a lot of 3 and four drops he can get out of hand quick.

Birds: So I like birds over hierarch here because we are going wide and since we are buffing our dudes flying is more relevant than exalted.

Hangarback Walker: A factory that is relevant to buff as he makes more flying dudes when he dies.

Predator Ooze: The nom nom dude. This card is a beast against creature based decks and can get real big real quick a little hard to cast a GGG though.

Scavenger Ooze: A mainboard relic that is also a dude that buffs himself easy include.

Servant of the Scale/ Simic Initiate: These dudes make the dude deck possible as they are just good and with hardened scales they are insane a on mana 2/2 that when it dies give something 4 +1/+1 counters sign me up.

Spellskite: For keeping your dudes alive and hosing other decks that like buffing dudes.

Tezzeret's Gambit: An iffy inclusion I like it for being able to draw two cards and buff our dudes but 4 mana ir 3 and 2 life is a lot of mana to pay.

Dromokas command: All four modes are relevant and its removal that buffs your dudes.

Path to Exile: For killing their dudes.

Ajani: I might remove the steadfast here for another path or command but I want to try it could also be subbed for nissa, voice of zendikar.

Hardened Scales: Four making our dude buffs that much better for only one mana this card is a reason to keep a hand.

21 lands: We are a aggressive creature deck that tends towards midrange so 21 with 4 bops is acceptable.

Deck discussion for TheWeeklyBrew: Modern Scales

I personally think Tezzeret's Gambit is a little gimmicky here.

Bramblewood Paragon gives all your creatures trample. While the flying from Falconer is nice, trample it somewhat more relevant in I deck where your creatures can get very big.

Bioshift is a cool combat trick. And with Scales out, it actually increases the number of counters.

I felt like the deck needed some card draw and that seemed like the best thematic option but yea serum visions is probably just better

and I do like bramble wood paragon will have to try it

I did try bioshift it was surprisingly clunky.

I personally haven't tried Bioshift in this type of deck, but I did use it in a green Heroic deck, where it was awesome thanks to the Heroic triggers. Solidarity of Heroes was also awesome in Heroic, but may be the same type of clunky here.
