Sorry to be a party pooper, but Gigadrowse doesn't flip Erayo. When you CAST Gigadrowse, you may COPY it. The copies don't count as being cast. Same reason Giga doesn't act as Super-Firebreathing for Gelectrode or Wee Dragonauts. So Erayo only counts Giga as one spell cast, because the copies aren't cast.

Let me solve the rules conundrum.

Imagecrafter's ability, copied and pasted from gatherer, is this:
[T]: Choose a creature type other than Wall. Target creature becomes that type until end of turn.

The important phrase here is "Target creature".
1. Creatures in hand, graveyard, exile, or library, are called "creature cards". Look at Worldly Tutor, Reanimate, or Ostracize for an example of that.
2. Creatures on the stack, which is where they go after being played and before entering the battlefield, are called "creature spells". Look at Remove Soul, Ancient Ziggurat, or Gaea's Herald for an example of that.
3. Only creatures that are on the battlefield can be referred to as simply "creatures". Look at Murder, Wrath of God, or Giant Growth for good examples of this.

So Imagecrafter can only target cards of the third type, those already on the battlefield. He can only do this after they enter the battlefield. So he can't target a spell (second type) and have it enter the battlefield as the chosen type.

A card that clarifies this is Conspiracy. Read the text on the Time Spiral version and you can see it clearly outline the three types.

Did this help? If you have any questions, please tell me.

I like the idea, and it's a solid Glissa Control deck besides. The thing is, you shouldn't focus too much on that lock, because it costs twelve mana per turn at least. You run only twenty three lands and six mana dorks, which are frequently killed via Gut Shot and other spells. So it would be safer to cut Slaver down to two and focus more on the Trading Post control and the Glissa control. There are TONS of cool interactions there. Then, you could also free more space by cutting the zombies and adding more artifacts because you would be less reliant on the Slaver Lock. Mindslaver can be an extremely dead card some times.

This might be a stupid idea, but a separate page for tournament quality decks would be cool, too. Even though a lot of people do label their shitty standard decks as tourney quality, an actual lab for brewing a new competitive deck would be great. And fluffy, I might check out your decklists.

Brought a smile to my face there maiske.
And about EDH, don't worry. Looking at decklists is time-consuming, arcane, and generally not worth the effort in such a diverse, varied format. That said, EDH is one of the most fun formats to play, and I strongly recommend trying it. You should find some friends who play, borrow one of their decks or whip one up yourself. Just look for easy synergies and you'll find a deck that's very fun to pilot.

To surewhynot: is this site going to get worse before it gets better? Looking at the top decks, I see a bunch of random, shitty decks that will fail to win in casual or fail to top 8 at FNM. Not only are they not good, most are not creative. I've heard about an update to the site that will come soon, and I'm not sure if even that could help.
And also, have you seen the new standard Lingering Pox deck? I'm thinking about making Poxtraction before rotation. I tried a shitty Pox Reanimator, but I think right now I have the chance to make a solid deck, abusing Liliana, Nihil Spellbomb, Surgical, Lingering, Zombies, and Sun Titan... Your thoughts? I might post a decklist...

sorry to break it to you, but Brand was just banned in EDH, from both in deck and as commander.

What he said.

And also, adding Feeling of Dread for board control could give you an excuse to add Seachrome Coast/Glacial Fortress/Clifftop Retreat, and then Moorland Haunt x2, that way, since you'll be Dredging quite a bit, you can just exile the Griffin from the gy and play it again.

Once again, love the deck.

...Wow.

A creative, potentially competitive deck on MTGVault. Been a while since I've seen one of those.

For suggestions, I'd say Geistflame and/or Think Twice to replace several non-flashbacking burn spells. Probably incinerate. The only real creatures in standard with three toughness are Fiend Hunter and Golem Tokens, and Golems less so; Skaabs can kill Golems, and you can't hunt a fiendish Misthollow Griffin. So I think that decreasing burn power for card advantage would be worth it, if you know what I mean. Also, if you're just trying to trigger Chandra's Phoenix, 1 damage is all you need.

Hmm. Looking at Tibalt, his middle ability is probably his best. Is there any way to milk more value out of that? WAIT. Reforge the Soul. Dumps stuff in your gy, where it can still be used, draws you even more cards, and refills their hand for a Tibalt bomb.

Finally, I'd suggest Volt Charge instead of Arc Trail. And, if you want to shell $100 out, get a couple Snapcaster Mage. Those things are going to stay expensive because of Legacy, so you'll not be losing too much money when they rotate (if you sell to a Legacy/Modern player).

Some guy creamed me yesterday with a similar deck using Deadeye Navigator and Vorapede to pull out 3 Inferno Titans. Its a good plan. Since you're able to do that, I'd suggest upping the Vorapedes to 3 and dropping Pyreheart, Hound, even Silverheart.

Could you check out my Flashwoof deck? http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=336913

Hey man. I'd think it would be better if you made this into wolves. You could replace some sorceries/miracles (Temporal, Thunderous, Faithless, Arc Trail; by the way, with 21 lands, you'll probably be pitching miracles to Looting most of the time, so it's not really worth it) with instants. You can also replace Delver, Automaton, and Cavern with flash creatures (Wolfir Avenger) or instants (Thought Scour, Desperate Ravings, Shock, etc. I run a remarkably similar deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=336913.

Then again, this could work. How has it been faring?

Hey man. A couple weeks ago, you said you'd check up on a legacy build of mine (Canadian Thresh with Miracles and Countertop) once you got the time. Just reminding you about it. I also made RUGWolves for standard if you want to see. Guess I've had a bit of a RUG fetish recently or something. :3

So Glitterfang is basically for Baku and Balefire? I like recurring Bolts.

Just letting you know. "Rakish" isn't a vampire clan, but an adjective meaning "having or displaying a dashing, jaunty, or slightly disreputable quality or appearance". So, Rakish Heir, the card, is a noble vampire who is dashing and jaunty. Not an heir to Clan Rakish. You don't need to change it, because it works with the story, but it would be good if you did.

I was pleasantly surprised. It's not often I find readable stories on the internet. This passed without any noticeable grammar errors, and is amusing. Nice.

About the deck, the curve is too messed up to actually work well, but it fits nicely with the story. It lets me pause and appreciate the flavor text. :)

Thanks. Made my day more interesting.

Solid, man. I'd suggest replacing several Swamps with Urborg, Tomb to Yawgmoths. It would smooth out your mana fixing and help you consistently turn 4 an Obliterator. Also, I think you can drop a sword. 3 is usually fine. And it would let you add a Hymn to Tourach or two to really wreck a hand. You could drop a land for the second Hymn, as 20 is fine with your curve.

Could you check out my Legacy deck? It's Canadian Thresh with Countertop and Miracles. Still ironing out the kinks. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=330238
Thanks

Really? That's pretty cool. So do they actually do some serious tourney stuff?
I remember playing against a deck with 2 Jace TMS and Scrib Nibblers in the Worldwake prerelease. That was annoying.

Yeah, no problem. Boros is too good with landfall. My little Grixis Control had to deal with that, and then Caw-Blade. :|

Running counterspells suddenly makes you a boring player? So much for control. Don't just insult people's decks, Kazzong. It's getting annoying.

Hey man. I think you should focus less on miracle and more on your deck. I think if you have a solid front plan (like UW stoneblade), and just run Top, Brainstorm, and Miracles, you should be fine. I'm trying to do something similar, but with a Canadian Thresh shell: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=330238
So, take out Terminus, Personal Tutors, several lands, and add a Stoneforge package. My fav is Stoneforge x4, Batterskull x1, Jitte x1, Fire and Ice x1.
Nice deck and good luck. Please check out mine, too.
