I like Merfolk a lot, used to play standard Merfolk wenn Lorwyn was released.
Unfortunately there are so few viable Merfolk in Theros right now :(

To make Master of Waves stronger I would suggest adding more blue cards.
Maybe Claustrophobia. Ordeal of Thassa could also be useful.
Also I found Urban Burgeoning quite useless to be useless to be honest.
For playing Triton Tactics you can also use Kiora's follower to untap a land.

Another suggestion would be Mutavault of course :)

Temple of Mystery
Kiora, the crashing Wave as suggested by Aetherlingling

You guys keep asking about the card choices and why he isn't playing things that are more competitive... It's a merfolk theme deck. He's playing with what he's been given in standard.

That being said, Deepwater Hypnotist is strictly better than Coral Merfolk.

Also the plural of merfolk is merfolk.

Door of Destinies is useful in tribal decks.
I'd replace Urban Burgeoning with more counter-spells.

you could drop a few islands and make it 24 land. most of your stuff is cheap so it wouldnt hurt

I realize triton tactics and warriors lesson are both good for triggering inspired and heroic, but id drop both. maybe go for something like rangers guile or crypsis if you want similar effects. Those two have the added benefit of better protection.

I'd suggest Ordeal of Thassa instead Ordeal of Nylea? It seems just a little bit better in the deck to draw those extra cards
