Deck Description

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the sacrificing queen herself, Grixis's new heir to the throne: Marchesa! Marchesa is a fantastic commander because she's cheap and she has some seriously abuse-worthy abilities on her. The deck works by pumping out creatures that effect the battlefield immediately, slapping a +1/+1 counter on those creatures anyway you can, and then proceeding to sacrifice them to abuse them all over again. It's fantastic fun! And the Grixis color pie provides many cool ways to get your most out of it.

Now, this is a budget deck because my friend requested I help him make a decklist under $150 he could use for Marchesa and still challenge our much-more-experienced EDH peeps. So, this is the product of that challenge, coming in at a hair under $150 once we gathered all the cards up for purchase on TCGplayer. Of course, cards like Bitterblossom, Phyrexian Altar and especially Sneak Attack work brilliantly in this deck as well but, like I said, it's the budget version.

Hopefully this at least inspires players with bigger budgets to build even more badass Marchesa decks and convinces the less fortunate to build a reasonably-priced and yet still super fun and efficient EDH deck! Any comments/suggestions are always welcome!
