All good ideas. I just always tend to see WU from more of a control perspective, & Tutelage can be a real house, w/ no other mill whatsoever. I would be careful of putting too many things in the 4-drop slot, though.

Only when I've had too much pumpkin ale...which is DELICIOUS. ;)
"This Guy"? Is that anything like being "That Girl"?
*2 other cheap, controlly enchantments: Tightening Coils, Claustrophobia.
So, the problem I have w/ Starfield (& the reason, I assume, I always associate it w/ Theros block) is that to me, Theros block is where it belonged. Starfield will make itself & Sigil 5/5 creatures; other than that, you're only getting 2/2's & 3/3's (which will also be easier to remove, since you're adding the creature type). The problem I have w/ Sigil (such problems this person has!) is that it requires you to play enchantment heavy, a significant limitation when you're trying to control the board 'til you can make your own big moves. I would personally cut Planar Outburst, Ugin's Insight, Quarantine Field, & Starfield altogether, & run cheaper draw & more cheap control, possibly upping Sigil to x4. Awaken is in your colors, so that might be a thing, particularly w/ Halimar Tidecaller...the latter's only 3cmc, & there's plenty of spells w/ awaken for 1-3, so you'd lower your curve significantly. Don't know if any of this helps, but it's just some thoughts I had...good luck w/ your deck, whatever course you ultimately choose to pursue. :D
So, aside from switching the lands, the only cards that HAVE to be boarded in (based on other lists I've seen) are Scapeshift, Snapcaster, & Elder; cards culled would be Emrakul, Storm, & I assume Explore, leaving the remaining choices discretionary. 2-decks-in-1 is the kind of shenanigan I love (the look on your opponent's face: priceless :D), & this looks well done; some filter lands might be good. +1.
Sorry, whenever I see Starfield, I think Theros block. Busy right now, but I'll come back & take a look again later.
Does it matter that the deck's no longer Standard? Or do you also want to change it so that it's Standard again?
That does it...I'm doing a persist/undying/unleash/devour/Quillspike/Ion Storm deck!! :D +1.
Well, there's no way to cast Psychic Purge, either...but these are just in keeping w/ the theme of the deck, as no opponent would choose to have you discard them. Magicalez...I'm guessing you really, REALLY dislike being made to discard! ;)
Defense of the Heart. ;)
Furnace of Rath...or Overblaze. ;)
"Hippie" music...how degenerate... ;)
I really like this deck. I'm not a fair judge of it's feasibility, but the pieces mesh well w/ each other, AND this is the first time I've come across a deck that exploits Storm's mill aspect in a Boros build, which in itself is a big + w/ me. This is the kind of deck I go out my way looking for on this site, so thanks for posting it, rough draft or no. (obviously, +1)
All I know is, it was hot at 4 likes/1 comment, but not at 3 likes/1 comment. But you're right...Northy is the ETB ability that triggers the algorithm. :)
THAT'S what I forgot to mention...targeting another creature in your GY to break the loop. But given there's only 7 creatures in this deck, using an instant in this case is probably a better bet...Comet Storm also works, but lacking R, your suggestion of Stroke of Genius would still get my vote. (Sorry about the deletions...I screwed-up when editing.)
Mountains & swamps? ;) All kidding aside, deciding what to cut to put in more lands (as Drakeraenes said, at least 4) would probably be a good next step, as it may clarify what your deck has/needs.
Wow! There's a lot of new stuff going on here!! At this point, I think I'd like to see your 2 Sidisi MB, along w/ 4x Gravecrawler. With the addition of the 4 lords, you can probably remove the Heralds at this point; additionally, Drudge Spell, & possible 2 Kjeldoran Dead? (You've also got me thinking about flying zombies now! :D)
There's Consume Spirit...all but 1 mana spent on it has to be B, but once you start the loop, that won't matter. I also like MM's suggestion, particularly as it's one I haven't heard before...or am I just outside of the loop? (insert groan) :)
Ashling the Pilgrim is another low casting-cost R Legend, w/ an ability that could prove useful; Brion Stoutarm (also a R Legend) would give you a sac outlet w/ lifelink, if you're still contemplating that. This is actually one of my favorites among your decks, because of all the interactions you have going on (not unusual for you, but not as often seen in "Deathrender decks"). Left +1 back when I first saw it, just popped back in to comment. :)
