Thought about the 2-for-1 thing, but was looking specifically for mountainwalk, & there's no instants that give it...was also thinking that depending on how much removal your opponent is running, a bait-&-switch ploy could be effective. That said, Vines of Vastwood has proven useful in my creature-based decks that run G...a "group buff" might be even better, though. Nothing like sending over a thundering herd of royally p!ssed-off badgers. :)

With Blood Moon, something like Volcanic Strength (2cmc, +2/+2 & mountainwalk) on your Badger Titan (or even Charging Badger, buffed w/ Become Immense) could be good...

Well, now you've done it...the wombat & the ferret are off in a corner, crying (they think they're tribes).

Why do you want to keep your deck Modern legal, when Commander doesn't require that? Again, just curious.

I actually see both sides of this debate. Part of the pleasure (some) people derive from casual play is being able to bend the rules a bit, based on a group consensus...for example, in my group, we mainly follow Modern guidelines (a decision based on the fact that some people would be disadvantaged if we didn't limit the card pool), but we do allow cards from Commander & the PC sets as 1-ofs. Also, in competitive play, turn 2-4 wins aren't exactly unheard of. That said, I personally don't prefer that kind of non-interactive play...I think it's fun to pull it off once, & then you retire the deck. That's exactly what happened when I built a ramp-out-the Titans-via-Spawnsire deck...poor b@stards have been gathering dust ever since.

So, this is just a curious question...are you keeping it Modern legal so you'll have the base for a Modern deck if you decide to switch it up? Just wondering, because I've never come across someone having that criteria for a Commander deck before. (Considering you don't need much in the way of bells & whistles, it's not a bad idea...Commander can get pricey pretty quickly if you don't already have a lot of your cards.) +1.

Absolutely! Looking at it a second time, I realize Waste Not doesn't require discarded cards to hit the GY, which for some reason I thought it did...so there's actually no conflict there at all. With practically everyone running at least some recursion, putting cards in an opponents' GY can actually end up helping them, so couldn't agree more that preventing that is crucial. Do think that Longhorn's suggestion of Caress was spot on; at 2cmc, you can drop it early enough to do some real damage w/ it. Cheers!

Came back to make sure my comment actually posted (sometimes it doesn't, BAD website!!), & realized I had an epiphany about Epiphany...pretty funny stuff. All I can say in response to myself is thank whatever you believe in for coffee. xD

Go on w/ your bad self, Thinker...good to see you're always on YOUR job!! Your choice of Eldrazi isn't bad at all; I envision plowing the road w/ Breaker, then following-up w/ Winnower, to make it unblockable, as a finisher. And Bane of Bala Ged certainly isn't terrible; I personally like it quite a lot (I think of it as a sort of Ceaseless Hunger jr. :D). I admit I did a double-take when I saw Epiphany...then I had a "DUH" moment, & it made perfect sense. xD As always, original & well thought-out, especially for a low-cost deck...a really nice way for a newchum (or someone just low on funds...like MOI!!) to get into the next gen Eldrazi mix. And as you point out, a person can add more expensive cards as they go if they wish to. +1, & keep 'em comin, big guy!

Leyline & Waste Not do seem to be at odds w/ each other...Relic of Progenitus might be a better choice here than the former. Caress sounds excellent. Could probably use a bit more fine-tuning by someone proficient at playing discard (which I'm not), but for a first effort especially, I'm thinking this looks pretty good. :) +1.

Reverence seems like it would be a nice touch here, too...but I have to admit, trying to wrap my mind around the rulings regarding Humility & Opalescence invariably leaves me kind of O.O (by the time they get to "layer 7b", I kind of want to bite a pillow & scream, just a little). :) +1.
