Deck Description

This deck makes up for the video game. Knights may seem somewhat weak, but not when they are banded together by concerted effort. Honor of the Pure, Light From Within, and Knight Exemplar all work to make these knights unstoppable.

Deck discussion for White Knight Story

whats up v, i love a good knights deck. youv got a pretty good build here, but i would swap out a few things. you are very enchantment heavy. knights are supposed to be fast and usually win with swarm. if you rely on enchantments as a win condition too much u r too vulnerable to enchant removal which will hit like an anvil when the opponent figures out what your up to. concerted effort isnt really necessary in here. neither is ghostly prison. you want field domination that is generated by the knights power. i would add more removal to make sure the opponents threats are out of the way and your knights are free to roam. sub in 4 path to exile and 3 journey to nowhere. that way the opponents field will be clear.

Thank you for you comments. I'll take them into consideration seeing as I haven't made this deck in real life yet. I play with my friends in a club we've formed. I know that they don't have much in the way of enchantment removal, so that is why I made this deck the way I have. Thanks again.

skyhunter prowler doesnt need to be in here either. Mirran Crusader fits in here perfectly. imagine a turn 3 drop of mirran crusader, then a turn 4 drop of light from within and swinging for 8 with 1 little dude.

Mirran Crusader is a little out of my price range right now. But other than that, I think it's a great card.

those enchantments are mean. but you wanna make sure your knights can support themselves without them if necessary. i try doing that with my soldiers. if by chance yur luck is down your knights should be able to band together using effects off eachother. then when enchantments come in its just that much better. take a looksi at mine i just make http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=174142

White Knight of the Orchid or whatever it's called.

Yes, I do know what Knight of the White Orchid is. Sorry but I don't feel like spending the money on him right now. Thanks for the comment.

He's only roughly $3. You can probably find them for about $1.50 somewhere.

Yeah, I know. But I like to purchase card online in large groups. I'll make sure to buy some the next time I get cards.

I like to put Darksteel Plate on my Knight Exemplar, but you're only running 2 Knight Exemplars so the Darksteel Plate might not be what you need.

If you have them maybe throw in 1 or 2 Day of Judgments. Great to combo off of Knight Exemplar, as you leave your opponent with nothing and you with almost all yer knights still.

Maybe a Door of Destinies? Your Mana Curve is pretty good, you could use a slightly higher CMC card to help boost yer knights.

Oh, and Brave the Elements, maybe just on the sideboard, but I found in my Mono white decks Brave the Elements can be a complete game changer. Both an amazing offensive and defensive card.

Oh, and always, Kinsbaile Cavalier for any knight deck. =D

Take a look at my B/W Knights:

Thanks for the input. Darksteel Plate really isn't the way I'm going with this deck. If I had any Day of Judgements, I would work them in. Door of Destinies is expensive, but I have thought about it. I really only play casually with my friends, so a sideboard isn't needed right now. Brave the Elements is a good card. Kinsbaile Cavalier is expensive too (but I do like him). And last but not least, I was the first person to comment on your knight deck. It is nice! Thanks!

Well most of the comments to make an improvement on this deck have been made; and simply not having the money to put into it at this point in time is a valid point. However there is no first turn plays this deck can make, meaning if you had lets say vivid grove or some card to work in bird of paradise you would be one turn ahead of the deck as it currently is. This wouldn't change the feel of the deck, just get you one turn ahead, this being said there is many other things to do, but your first turn is a wasted turn, and you should consider doing something or finding some nice 1 cost white cards to put in. Silence being a great candidate.

Thank you for your comment. Vivid grove enters the battlefield tapped. I still wouldn't get that first turn advantage that you're talking about. Birds of Paradise isn't a knight. It just doesn't fit in. With so few of those cards, I would either not get them in my opening hand, or not need them when I get them. Silence is a good card and I plan on buying some to put in here. So far, I have not needed a first turn play advantage. This deck is fast enough for the way I play. Thanks!

ya i was thinking of a different land not the vivid one, the point of the birds woudln't be that they are nights, just to get you a turn ahead. Though because the people you are playing against might not have decks that require a first turn advantage, doesnt' mean you should stop making your deck better.

Never let it be said that I wouldn't want this amazing deck to be even better! I just found a great 1 cast knight card. Lionheart Maverick. I'll work this guy in soon.

I like your deck, but if your not rolling standard i would suggest plowshares or something over the journey or such. def 4-of the knight exemplar. but i understand if this is all for a story theme of some sort you may have only put so many of each card in for it. good theme and deck!

if i bought this online how much would it cost? try Kinsbaile Cavalier and elspeth tirel.

This deck cost around $48 not including shipping. I don't use Kinsbaile Cavalier because it's rather expensive. And I don't use Elspeth because, again, it's expensive, it doesn't meld real well with this deck idea, and it would slow this fast deck down. Thanks for the comment! It's interesting to think that people out there are make decks around what I've done...

I like gidoen jura for a planeswalker, mostly because he will make them do an all out attack, letting you kill a lot and counterswing, as long a gideon is alive then you get a second one to. But, i understand that you are on a budget.

That would be a fine card to leave in the side board to swap out with white knight.

How about Holy day in lieu of or in combination with safe passage? I'd also consider Swords to Plowshares or Path to Exile for removal options. Personally I'd worry about mana curve, anytime you can't play a single card turn 1 I'd be concerned.

Akrasan squire, serra zealot are good cheap options if you aren't too concerned with the non-knight thing.

And even if you are, Lionheart Maverick is a good 1 drop knight option that with concerted effort can spread vigilance even.

I would sideboard White Knight (and add Silver Knight), and exchange it for Knight of Meadowgrain. Also, a Loxodon Warhammer could get nasty.

The thing is is that I don't own the other cards you mentioned. I don't have a sideboard because I play with my friends. And Loxodon Warhammer wouldn't fit well in my deck because the idea is to buff all creatures at the same time.

Dawn Charm could work really well in here. Only 2 mana and 3 choices for you. It's also cheap to buy or at least it is on the site I use

Dawn Charm is a nice card, but this deck focuses on pumping lots of creatures out for the win.

Is there a specific reason you chose to have Journey to Nowhere over Oblivion Ring? I was just wondering.

0
Posted 15 July 2011 at 09:33

I use Journey to Nowhere over Oblivion Ring because I haven't run into too many situations where I need Oblivion Ring. It costs one more mana for an added benefit that I don't really need. I could swap it out if I needed to.

I like it, although I think maybe you should swap out skyhunter prowler with a double white cost knight so they can benefit more from light from within. But it seems like you are trying to keep to all flying creatures.

Check out my updated knight deck and tell me what you think :p

The knights with flying are very important. They allow me to be able to totally fly over an opponent with an army of knights that can have vigilance, first strike, double strike, and/or indestructibility. Though no one card is central in this deck, the skyhunters are very important.

what about adding in 2 moorish calvary? concerted effort affects trample as well. give all those knights some beastin trample?

otherwise very good deck, i'm impressed how u have combined everything

Kinsbaile Cavalier is an expensive card (both in monetary cost and cmc. I have Skyhunter Skirmisher in there to give double strike and flying.
