If running sol ring and plow under, that might be an entirely new deck with 4 x plow under, 4 x stunted growth, and green mana ramp. Seems like a good deck; I am trying to keep it budget if possible (sol ring costs six dollars I think).
Its around 3 bucks a pop today, but I get ya.I guess what I'm getting at is that if you're going to play casual, your best move is to take advantage of as much of the ridiculous tempo boosts non-tournament legal cards give you, the biggest of which is the ability to accelerate mana development and ramp into heavy hitting spells much more quickly than possible in a regular format.
It is true that sol ring is quite powerful. I guess that the idea of the deck is heavy defense. But this might lose to defense with card advantage (mono blue for example). Do you have any suggestions for other larger g/w cards to run with sol ring? I try to find a way to address mono black discard, heavy aggro, and burn (with anti counterspells + anti necromancy in sideboard).
