does your meta have any stax decks at all? In my local area storm combo seems to be the deck of choice, which I find "annoying" but it just caused me to change but a few cards in my main stax deck. How do you think storm combo matches up against stax? I haven't really heard stax taking the top 8 in anything other than vintage. back to the deck: Do you find the deck more reliant without the use of chrome mox's? or do you just not want to remove cards from the game? What turn do you normally go off as well? Sorry, at the moment I am not the most "qualified" person to judge a storm deck, I get the basic Idea people have of going off. Just my initial reactions are ways in stopping an opponent. and my first and best guess are chalice's at 1 or 0. I see that you have echoing truth to return those chalice's back to hand but without enough excel it seems unlikely you would be able to recover fast enough to wish for them. And for the FoW matter, that can be dealt with by simply adding silence to your deck if you are that worried about FoW or flusterstorm/stifle/mindbreak trap. (or add in remand. to remand the original storm spell and cast it again.) just trying to wrap my head around the deck i guess. so quick question, what is your opinion of mirrorworks in a MUD Stax deck... I was kinda toying with the idea. I love the fact I could make copies of smokestack or tanglewire.... lol sorry for the zombification of this deck
also, thunderblust. incandescent soulstoke (like what mursh said), plus love my smokebraider. and of course. mimic vat = awesomeness. and with soulstokes you can do doomgape. and if you need more speed would include simian spirit guides... rite of flame. and to get over the lack of haste, mass hysteria.
4 words. Fury of the horde. Makes my elemental deck, explode.
with the sylvok outcast and a sac outlet you might as well have Murderous Redcap to do infin~ damage. as well as another great sac outlet via Viscera Seer.

what is your opinion of the new card "stalked prey" from innistrad for this deck? I kinda like it, only 2 to cast, enchant player, whenever a creature deals damage to that player put a +1/+1 counter on that creature...... pretty powerful. side note: would love to have an opinion on whether I should add some death's shadow to my casual modern deck http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=230800 If you don't mind, thanks for taking a peak.

So funny story, I have a Robo-stax deck I use at my local gaming store when players have breaks in between matches and new friend of mine brought his sneak n show deck. Well the funny part starts when we sideboard and I decided to side in my humility's. I basically took out my big beaters because his were just better and got the job done. but with my tangle wire's and humility he just couldn't handle it.
Just tell your friends to invest in chalice of the void, or some sphere of resistance. If you can't tell, I just made my take on MUD. Idk if I wanna go stumpy or stax...

Ever think of using Karn liberated in this deck for added deprevation? Added with the gambits you basically -2 to dispatch a permanent.
I don't know why but I always like a little more burn in my decks, you probably won't like it but maybe chain of plasma? Just for the finishing blow and possible chain, or char always a favorite of mine. =) just cut the lion for them, and maybe wooded foothills instead of the verdant catacombs

why not take out favor and feud for 4 fury of the horde? double attack step is phenomenal, love it in my elemental deck =) http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=158585 you could probably do it with the changes specified because then you would have 22 total red cards in the deck.
demon's. one of my favorite old tribes. I don't know why but I like to lump in horror's with demons, but thats just me. Always loved seizan and ob nixilis, together with big brother abyssal. I see that you are using Lake's, If lakes then you gotta have Urborg's.. I consider it a must for allowance to let the lake sac itself. I currently have a deck that uses a similar design, centered around demon's with horror's and friends mixed in. here is just a list of some cards I love seeing in my black decks. Bitterblossom, Reassembling Skeleton, Devouring Strossus, Hellfire, Promise of Power, Diabolic Intent, Culling the Weak, Death Cloud, Recurring Nightmare and my favorite Yawgmoth's Bargain. But since your running Lake's instead of Coffers I wouldnt recommend Death Cloud (another fav.) To add some extra umph with Ob nixilis you can add in Korlash to wreck face. oooh and don't forget Victimize...... great with Grave Titan.
