Deck Description

I love the idea of a God deck. At first, i was skeptical of the Theros block, but as it expanded it became one of my favorite blocks. I built this deck to show case what i felt the world of Theros was all about. You see these new powerful God cards and you see that there are cards out there that help complete the story. Heliod>Heliods Emmisary (for example). So this is by no means meant to be a competitive deck, but one just fun and full of flavor. I would love to play this deck just to see if it could actually win. How ever the real inspiration behind this deck is the Idea of planes vs. planes duel decks. If you were to take the Very best, most powerful cards from each realm, and pit them against each other, what would those decks look like? Zendikar vs.Innistrad. Theros vs. Ravnica. Tarkir vs. Shandalar or what ever planes in the multiverse you thought was truly the most epic and powerful we have seen yet.
Imagine a large multiplayer team game. 5 on 5, on one team each picks a God or Gods to build a deck around. The other team each picks a guild or guilds to represent the best the realm of Ravnica has to offer. Each player has their own life total, but you also play with area of influence. So you can block for any of your team mates. You can equip any of your teams creatures. Which Realm do you think would win? And can you prove it?

How to Play

Just play it and see what you can make it do! I have no idea how it would work. Seeing as how you will run into the problem of turning your gods into creatures with enough devotion to each god. Perhaps you can get Chromanticore out to assist. Or pull out the gods matching counter piece creature/ spell what ever. If you some how were able to get all those Gods out on the board and have them be creatures at the same time....Holy moly! i just might straight up buy that deck from you. All you peeps with the brains... lemme know?

Deck discussion for The Gods of Theros

I'd really suggest fetch lands, almost every good deck has them. They are great additions, also, you might want to run some sylvan caryatids and types like such, also there is one problem, the gods are all legendary, you can't have more than one legendary on the battlefield, make sure you try to shape it into a deck with synergy! ;) anyway, great deck!

Actually MooCow, you can have more than one legendary on the battlefield as long as the legendary's aren't the same card.
