Some tweaks for my PPTQ deck after some test runs. Lack of a sweeper was an issue and until crux is Fate os available extinguish all hopes has come in, did try aethrspouts but after you have played it your opponent can easily play around future copies.The playsets of caryatids and Coursers have also come out, they did just not impact the board well enough in a world of flyers or quick Heoric decks to be of much use. They have been replaced with main deck Negates and Denials. I have really liked Denial in recent testing, in the early game can stop the early Heoric creature drop or slow up the Jeskai combo and in the late game is a cheap counter when I have my finishers on-line.
Play as a draw and go control deck, turn 1 Thoughtseize to remove a threat or hold up the mana for a Denial.The win cons are both Hexproof creatures and so should be hard to remove or Kiora which should only be played when she can be protected with counters, she can also be played early to bait removal or bubble a threat until an answer is drawn.Sideboard is pretty obvious;Nissa - for the control mirror, makes perilous vault look a bit sillyImpersonator - a suprise factor and copying an Elspeth or Sarkhan can swing a gameDisdainful stroke - more control when neededDrown in Sorrow - against the growing popularity of token decksCrypt - hoses Whip decksFeed the Clan - against the odd burn deck that can crop up
