Now, let me think about my extraction deck and what you could use... well first thing that comes to mind is against rush with white there is "timely reinforcements" 6 health and 3 blockers is good, on the other hand I loved using kozilek's inquisition to deal with any early threats before they happened, plus if there was card twice or if really lucky 3 times I would extract it with surgical, things that got on the board were generally black sun's zenith'ed away. And my win condition was quite simple, I win because you cant, and because you cant draw X cards (Blue Sun's Zenith for a Mill win). Look around in the zendikar blocks. Has to have been one of the most powerful sets in recent memory. So, cards for you to look at. Inquisition of Kozilek Sadistic Sacrament (exile 3 for 3 or 15 with expensive kicker) Black Sun's Zenith (reuse-able mass removal) Guard Gomazoa (1/3 combat damage prevented) Wall of Denial (0/8 shroud flying? lol) Marrow Shards (Anti-Rush) Halimar Depths (Legal Ponder in land form......) Oust (1 white mana delay against a creature, and I cannot stress delay, it is like timewalking) Jace Beleren (if you have room, this is some card draw...) Thunderstaff (anti rush, prevents attacking creatures 1 damage) Silence Dichotomancy (gets things out of their library onto your side of the game, wall and denial) Cryptic Command... Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir (they cannot play spells except sorcery speed) Evacuate (all creatures to hands, legal?) Scared Burial (all creatures on bottem of library) Dash Hopes and Temporal Extortion work well if used together but I think you would have to drop a color for that... Darkness (Black Fog, timeshifted) Sudden Spoiling (split second his creatures are all 0/2 and abilityless) Silent Arbiter makes it so only one creature can attack or block each turn. Perfect with big walls. Thats what springs to mind, some of that list isnt strictly for extraction and I am sure that "surewhynot" might point out several better cards but I have only played extractor recently, I am not a great expert. @Surewhynot, yes the learning curve is BRUTAL. Augh.

Lol, extraction is either hated or misunderstood depending on how well you play it and how well the deck is designed. If you screw up a lot then it is misunderstood, and everyone questions why you have certain spells in your deck. I played standard extraction in the last few weeks with zendikar around and got that reaction until I managed to extract the best player at our FNM (by best I mean uses the "best" standard deck in the pro tournament) into the ground. Then I got hated xD
Gee... I posted this 6 days ago... no likes, no comments no nothing... I did look at other peoples decks, admittedly not all of them but a few caught my eye. None of the 30+ people below think my deck is worth looking at? *grumbles, probly the people I beat in FNMs* >.<
I eat werewolf decks, my sideboard has 4 ratchet bombs to deal with the token army decks wolves are just... lol. >.<
I dont see why you need biorhythm... just need 4 souls's attendant, then everytime you bring a bell ringer into play you get one life.
This just makes my enemy of the guildpact deck look funny, havent posted it here yet though. Not sure what to say about your deck... why not the dual lands from ravnica that come into play tapped unless you pay 2 life?
Strandard (type 2) Tournament Deck. Win condition: Infect Damage via attacks or Livewire Lash. Colors: Black, Blue, splash of green. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=308062 Suggestions greatly appreciated, expense of the cards required not really an issue, and yes I know I am missing one crusader. O.o
Hey there, you looked at mine, now looking at yours. Also in defense of mine... it also can deal real damage if it has to. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=300810 Also in the time I tested mine, I could always get the battle of wits out as soon as I had 5 mana, be it through a blue tutor to a white tutor or a demonic/vampiric tutor. Having red allows damage spells incase the battle of wits win condition fails as well as wild research (which allows you to search for an enchantment card). To each his own, though you might have a point in having 20 more cards against things like glimpse the unthinkable.
Ah you have a point there... Was considering feldons cane and noxious revival.
Ok, I see 4 cancels and think to myself... why isnt that 2 stoic rebuttal and 2 cancels? I see 4 divination and think why not 2 think twice and 2 divination... see everyone with a (where I am) is playing surgical extraction, in your case it wouldnt hurt to switch it up a bit. The only problem I see for this deck is a control deck with mass removal... sadly also popular where I play :/
What is the vapor snag for? Why not use unsummon? My arguement being that your not doing damage and you might target your own creatures. Otherwise I like the deck and play something similar.
Dunno what format your playing... if your doing proxies or online you could use Jet Medallion instead of the silly keys. Costs one less and affects all your black spells. :D
You can get some any color mana... but not enough so, yeah Green Sun, Tested this deck, it gets it out on turn 3 if you do it right. :D
Distress... yeah Better then despise, even if it costs BB.
I know this isnt the best 2 drop but back in timespiral there was this 2/2 bear with flash (Ashcoat Bear). I thought it was great at the time. Not the greatest, or remotely close but a personal favorite. So my list is mostly my favorites. Ashcoat Bear Gemhide Sliver (lol?) Knight of the Holy Nimbus (auto regenerates, +flanking) Keldon Marauders !! (A card I use in my legacy burn deck, 5 damage!) Whirling Dervish Stormscape Familiar Hunted Horror (lol?) Izzet Guildmage (copy spells was so fun...) Plaxmanta (shroud? yes please) Spellskite (redirect? yes please) Phyrexian Revoker Go for the throat Livewire Lash Nim Deathmantle Rachet Bomb Black Sun Zenith ( X is zero right? trollolol) Puresteel Paladin (my brother came in first, multiple times with this card and swords... standard again) Increasing Vengeance (has replaced reverberate in my legacy deck, though rare is the time the flashback is used) all i can think of right now since I'm watching a movie in chinese and cant think straight anymore. >.<
Rachet Bomb is mass removal against the new flipping cards... and against tokens. I personally love the card. Though it isnt as crazy as some of the others.
I use similar, but phantasmal image instead of the agent. imagine the extra crusaders ;)
Nice to see new people, im not an über expert but I'm happy to help. if you want to chat before i head off to FNM maybe we could meet up in an IRC room?
Um... o.O +4 Liquimetal Coating -2 Phylactery Lich -2 Mycosynth Latice -4 Cultivate -4 swamp -4 mountain -4 forest +4 tree of tales +4 great furnace +4 vault of whispers +4 dawn's reflection
Easy, any kuldotha deck needs one in the deck. Not for the proliforate but for the colorless black sun zenith it is. Tinker it out, Proliforate everything they have small or dead, then sac it for something else. :D
