Deck Description

What? A RAKDOS-COLORED control deck? Is that even possible? Oh yes, even inspired from Conley Woods's "Mono-Black Control" deck that he used during the last Pro Tour. The deck revolves around locking down on your opponent by making them discard their cards and destroying the creatures they do happen to get out, and finishing up with a team of cheap 6/6 flying Demons.

How to Play

The key to making this deck work is making sure that your opponent has a strict minimum of creatures and cards to work with, while you gain an obscene hand and creature advantage. Basically the rule is to play as you would any basic control deck.

Deck discussion for Standard Rakdos Control

This is a great deck! with your crypt ghast I would almost say add another rakdos return or two, its perfect for this deck. If the opponent has no hand and gets some good damage on them this deck will take over, You draw enough in here that you should get essentially anything you need and after you cripple their hand theres nothing they can do to stop you dropping out desecration demons and the other cards in here. Not to mention you have a nice touch of lifegain so it should make it even harder for them to build up to beat you.. Great deck =]

Thank you. To be honest, I cannot take all the credit for this deck. If you have ever seen Conley Woods's "Mono-Black" deck, you can see quite well that it is inspired from it. If you have any decks you would like me to look at, just give me the link, and I will get back to you.

Thanks for the posistive feedback. As you can see, I have taken out the Ghost Quarter and added a Rakdos's Return. To return the favor, give me a deck link of your's, so I can call upon some possible improvements for your decks!

Thanks again,

no problem buddy, and sure I just built this deck and was trying to get some feedback for it. I only have used it once so far in 3 way game and it won just how i wanted it to. And Although the infinite mana combois in it I dont really plan to use it because it's pretty unnecessary in this deck, but I'd still like some feed back from some other ppl.

You could add some devils play. It would benefit from the ghasp with a lot of mana and it's flashback so you can recast it if you need to

I considered Devil's Play, but I didn't include it is because this is a control deck. I don't need another mana-guzzling spell that will annoy my mana distribution. Also, I'm trying to limit the deck cost. Not only that, but I am trying to limit the amount of cards in the deck that will cycle out soon.
