Deck Description

Dimir Mill/Control deck that I just put together off the top of my head. Bored at work so thought I'd do something. You really don't see a lot of Dimir decks but I believe U/B control isn't dead just yet. If done right it can be pretty competitive and this is just my attempt at doing that. Unlike Azorius control (U/W), Dimir can't abuse Sphinx's Revelation. Most people are probably saying "Why not just run Esper?", and you have a point but then this isn't an Esper deck. If Azorius control can place first then there's a chance Dimir should be able to pull it off. Assistance is always appreciated so please let's hear it.

How to Play

I've never had to pilot this deck but I do play a lot of control so it just speaks for itself. Your primary win conditions are Jace, Memory Adept and AEtherling. Ashiok isn't a win condition but he does assist your mill, could put out an awesome creature your opponent has, or even take away their entire hand. Thoughtseize and Duress are in here just to annoy your opponent and pull out any major threats they may have. Black and blue lack any form of decent board wipe so the only way around that is to remove threats before they even hit. I love Read the Bones. It's an awesome card, has good art, good card advantage, it's just amazing. I really don't know why I don't see it ran more often but it probably has something to do with Underworld Connections being around. Either way I put it in for the scry and it's not a bad drawing engine. Just protect Jace/AEtherling when they hit the board and beat your opponent down, mill them out, or both. Just watch out for Elixir of Immortality against control.
