Deck Description

Junk Utility has been a deck archtype since the apocalypse days of pernicious deed and vindicate. Here is my own take on Junk. Each card has been selected for its ability to do work against a variety of opposing stratagies. Let me know what you think and/or if you have any suggestions.

Lililana of the veil: Long term disruption and creature removal.

Elspeth, Knight-errant: Creates blockers/threats and serves as an excellent pump.

Lingering souls: Liliana fodder and creates blockers/threats to carry equipment.

Inquisition of Kozilek: Crippling vs combo decks and good against all others.

Crime//Punishment: Crippling vs affinity, can be a 4 for 1 on turn two. Surgical sweep at all stages of the game and can drop a threat later in the game.

Path to exile/Abrupt Decay/Beast Within: Just an excellent removal package. Beast within is especially important vs decks like tron, as I have limited tron defense. Plus my creatures can easily handle a 3/3 beast token. Also deals with plainswalkers.

Deathrite Shaman: All-star that does work at every stage of the game. Another equipment target.

Scavenging ooze: He will do more work in modern than in legacy.

Loxodon Smiter: Liliana defence, and a uncounterable and efficient creature.

Doran, the siege tower: An increadably efficient beater, and can hurt a lot of deck like mono red or any deck that runs cranial plating.

Spellskite: Maybe the most important creature in the deck. Absorbs removal. Amazing against red decks / splinter twin/ enchantment based decks. Become a beater with Doran out and is just as capable of carrying a sword.

Deck discussion for My take @ Classic Junk Utility

Six consecutive first place finishes against =20-25 players. Always does well at any rate. Its prolly at its best when your entering a new meta, since it has a variety of cards that can deal with a variety of strategies. The key is for every deck, have those few cards that can just cripple it. While everything else can do enough extra to win you the game.

Try using the draw sample hand feature is a good way to show how consistent this deck is.
