Sorry about that man, lost my cool a bit.

Now to buisness:

I Seriously think Ghost Quarter has amazing synergy with the Ankh.

Since you have Megrim, you might as well go ahead and throw in a Liliana's Caress

For discard, I'd recommend Thoughtseize, and Despise (as well as duress)

I have no idea why you're running Blistergrub. or Blood Tithe. or Disfigure for that matter.... If you want a discard deck, by all means, make a discard deck!

Abyssal Nocturnus, Geth's Grimoire are both excellent additions to a discard deck.

If you're intent on having back ramp (Dark Ritual etc.) for Exsanguinate, add Nirkana Revenant

Avatar of Woe would be cool aswell, considering with all the discard, lots of stuff will be in the graves.

Hope it helps :D

Hey man, nice job. I thought about doing something like this for RTR, but decided not to, as it is quite weak to detain, which has become popular in my area already :/ But good for you, see how it turns out!

Take out Trestle Troll. Sorry, this is just a waste of space :/

When i though about this though, I made sure to include x4 Disentomb, because you get to pull stuff back for Lol Troll to pump again!

You may also like abrupt decay, if you can get your hands on any, and if you like Wreath of Geists, you may like Splinterfright.

Also, I like vile rebirth, just to give yourself option as towards what you can do to the graveyard :)

Hope this helps :D Return the favor? http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=390504

Hmmmmmm............... Seems cool, but unreliable. You seem to have too many 2-ofs, meaning you won't really have exactly what you want, when you want it :/

I'd recommend:

- Falkenrath Aristocrat (You don't have many humans here, seems like a waste)
- Disciple of Bolas (Just a personal vendetta there)
- Rix Maddi Guildmage (not really that good IMO)
- Hellrider (Depending on how many creatures you swing with, idk, I don't really play Rakdos)
- 1-2 Bonfire of the Damned (i know, It's amazing, but how often will you actually need it?)
+ 2 Vampire Nighthawk (fantastic card)
+ 2 Curse of Stalked Prey (A personal favourite of mine. the damage stacks up amazingly fast)
+ 1-2 Zealous Conscripts (Very cool card)
+ 1-2 Necropolis Regent (Again, an awesome card, but with rakdos, you might be able to get him out quite fast)
+ 2-3 Sign in Blood (Draw, nuff said)
+ 1-2 Olivia Voldaren (just a very useful card in general :)

As for the things your considering....
Lily & Mutilate - Both very cool in mono-black, but in a multi-coloured deck, can become unreliable, and often dead draws
Pithing Needle - Always a sideboard card, never bad
Ash Zealot - Could be good against flashback and certain golgari stuff, but not worth of a 4 IMO
Cavern of Souls - A very cools card indeed, but only if you have a tribal deck. By the looks of it, you could put it in for vampires?
Also...
Put 2 more dreadbores in SB (excellent removal)
Add some Tormod's Crypts (For those pesky golgari decks.....)

Hope it helps :D If you've got time, return the favor? http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=390504

I'm also having a bit of a blank on what to do. Deathrite Shaman & Dryad Militant looks cool, so I went and made a mill deck for them, to mill the opponent, and remove/use their deck against them.

I'm in ur graves.... takin ur stuff (Standard) http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=390504 (BUG)

Actually, I've been thinking since my last comment here. I'm with 110101010101010 (or whatever it is) now. Golgari Lol Troll probably won't go too far. Since almost every guild will have some kind of cheap/easy removal, he'll get owned early, or detained, and then what? Not like you have much of a hand to play with... TC isn't a problem. Detain is.

And my favourite card released so far is Blistercoil Elemental (an uncommon!). Seriously, has nobody else seen him + Dual Casting!?!?!?!? So I'll be making an interesting 2/3 color, R/G and maybe U. Blistercoil, Dual Casting, Guttersnipe, and the player's own preference of spells, could easily make a devistating deck. Blistercoil + Dual Casting + Infernal Plunge = Infinite R or P/T Blistercoil. Personaly, I'll be playing him with some serious G pump spells, R Reverberate-type effects, and Kessing wolf-run (for trample). Feeling the pain of removal? Add U for counters, or even detain (anti-blockers).

Seriously, I think this could go top-tier. I'll post up a decklist soon.

Hey man, this is cool, I've though about making a Skullbriar EDH my self. But immedeately, I find myself looking for equipment. Where is it all!?!?!? Generally speaking for a Skullbriar EDH, you need all the equipment you can get, to get him all the general damage he needs to strike the killing blow. Here's a few you should include:
+ Loxodon Warhammer
+ Kusari-Gama
+ Surestrike Trident
+ Sword of Fire and Ice
+ Sword of Light and Shadow
+ Whispersilk Cloak
+ Lightning Greaves
+ Golem-Skin Gauntlets (maybe)
+ Banshee's Blade
+ Fireshrieker (Must have, it causes double +1/+1 counter triggers!)
+ Moonsilver Spear
+ Darksteel Plate
+ Sword of Feast and Famine
+ Swiftfoot Boots
+ Sigil of Distinction
+ Quietus Spike
+ Ring of Kalonia
+ Ring of Xathrid
+ Champion's Helm
+ Umezawa's Jitte (MUST)
+ Lashwrithe
+ Nim Deathmantle
+ Strata Scythe
+ Explorer's Scope
+ Grappling Hook
+ Basilisk Collar
+ Elbrus, the Binding Blade

And then there's auras...

+ Regeneration
+ Rancor
+ Shape of the Wiitigo
+ Eldrazi Conscription
+ Vow of Wildness
+ Unhallowed Pact

Also, there's some other stuff you're just missing:
+ Sol Ring
+ Sensei's Divining Top
+ Corpsejack Menace (when RTR comes out!)
+ All the scavenge stuff (also for RTR)

Good job anyway!

exactly, that kind of thing, but I'm even happier now, because of Jarad's Orders. That + Disentomb + Lol Troll: Win.

Hey Delver, wanna race?

Well, I'm going with Golgari for standard, but I'd like to actually elaborate on why (as nobody else seems to be) I won't be making the generic "graveyard based" Golgari, like the scavenge effect wants you to. In my opinion, it does seem a bit weak, especially to Tormod's crypt. I'll be building a deck for Lotleth Troll, or as i have named him Lol Troll. I mean seriously, does anyone else see an amazing synergy between him, Slitherhead, Gravecrawler and Corpsejack Menace!?!?! Once i discard things with him, they won't be staying in my graveyard for long (hopefully nullifying the crypt before they can use it), I'll either be scavenging them (Slitherhead) playing them straight from graveyard (Gravecrawler) or simply putting them back in my hand to use again (Disentomb). As for any graveyard hate, I fully intend on using Duress to the fullest.

For Modern, I intend on using Izzet, mostly because of Nivmagus Elemental. This just seems amazing, because his ability works on Storm and Replicate aswell! But my favourite by far, is that all the "when you cast" effects still trigger, meaning you still get tons of stuff for casting something anyway. So I'm looking at Nivmagus Elemental, Kiln Fiend, Guttersnipe, Wee Dragonauts, Charmbreaker Devils, Talrand, Gelectrode, Inexorable Tide, Surrakar Spellblade, Sphinx Bone-Wand, and almost every spell out there (especially Phyrexian Mana spells!)

Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth.

hhmhmhmhmmhmh................ well considering that most of those things are rather expensive, you should get some good mana ramp in there, so you can get them out ASAP. Seething song, Braid of Fire, Iron Myr, Desperate Ritual, Gauntlet of Power, if Genesis chamber makes as many myr as you say, Battle Hymn could be good, Inner Fire, Grinning Ignus, Wayfarer's Bauble, etc.

If you put these in, some nice X spells would be good aswell, ie: Comet Storm, Red Sun's Zenith etc.

Also, since all the Warstorm surge pieces are here, some top-heavy creatures would be excellent for getting good damage out put, such as Spark Elemental, Ball Lightning and such

Have fun!

warstorm surge. don't even try to argue, it is your entire game plan.

Hey, looks cool! But i think what every Edric deck needs is some good old fashion mass-evasion. That means Levitation. It's seriously an underplayed card in EDH, and really, who ever sees an army of flying things coming (People who play Storm Herd :D)? Also, I think Champion of Lambholt would be good in here, because seriously, if you're putting out a decent amount of creatures, which you should be doing with this deck, it just becomes "Creatures you control are unblockable".

That's my 2c worth anyway. I've moved on from my Bosh EDH, for Nath, check it out when you have time :) http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381568

#1 - I think you have the term "key component" mixed up with "staple". Skullclamp/Sol Ring etc are staples, as in for (almost) ALL EDHs, a key component is more specific to the deck itself.

#2 - I see your point, but you shouldn't be afraid of putting things in an EDH that aren't directly general-related. Here's what i mean:

Ashnod's Altar - A REQUIREMENT of this deck, as you get ludacris mana out of it.
Killing Wave - You can set the price for this ridiculously high, considering most things you have will come back at end of turn anyway, so minimal losses for you, maximum for them.
Viscera Seer - An ESSENTIAL CARD even if you only sac him to himself for 1 scry per turn, which is still good.
Death Cultist - Fair enough.
Lashwrithe - you have a lot of small creatures in this deck, but not very much in the way of BIG MEATY things. This is a good solution.
Caged Sun - Fair Enough.
Falkenrath Noble - with all the recurring going on, another blood artist is always fun, but you don't have to reccur him you know.
Deathgreeter - 1/2 of a blood artist, nuff said
Harvester of Souls - You can never have enough draw power. And this works so amazingly with this deck, you're crazy not to use it.
Massacre Wurm - DOES A BALLSLOAD in EDH, and only effects OPPONENTS CREATURES not yours.
Bonehoard - The creatures don't have to be in the graveyard permanently, dude, just sac a bunch, swing with bonehoard (while there are things in grave) and get them back at the END of turn.
Pawn of Ulamog - Not strong enough? getting 7 Eldrazi Spawn every turn on average, and you say not strong enough?
Quest for the Gravelord - Fair Enough
Sadistic Glee - See lashwrithe, and yes swords are good, but this is amazing in this deck.
Blade of the Bloodchief - See Sadistic Glee
Mimic Vat - Not really 'essential' as such, but still good.

So in short, not everything in your deck has to be power 1 or less for recursion, that is how you build a shit deck. Put in USEFUL cards, i mean, things that actually have an effect on the game, LONG TERM preferably.

Don't take any of this in a negative way, but i'm giving you advice based on my experience (i used to have a Shirei EDH)

Btw: Grave Titan buddy. It wins games.

hmmm... nice, might i reccomend Exquisite Blood. Definetly a favourite of mine, as you get ridiculous amounts out of it, but i personally dislike child of night. I'd prefer Stromkirk Noble. Yes, it's a red card, but i'ts worth the risk, an amazing card. But nice deck all the same.

btw, I'd exctract this allll day. - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=365721 -

Hooray for Mono-Coloured EDH decks! honestly, this looks pretty good, but you are missing so many key components, it's not even funny. Some things you may want to consider:

- Increasing Ambition (currently my favourite tutor in black)
- Ashnod's Altar (WHY DON't YOU HAVE THIS IN YOUR DECk - INSANE MANA!)
- The new Lily may suit Mono-Black better, esp. in EDH - thats just my opinion though
- Killing Wave is Fun
- Viscera Seer (pretty much sets up the entire rest of your game with cool stuff)
- Death Cultist (a personal fave of mine)
- Lashwrithe (fun in mono-black)
- Caged Sun (there is absolutely no excuse for not playing this in any mono EDh, it seriously eliminates all mana problems.)
- Butcher of Malakir (Grave pact on a stick)
- Falkenrath Noble (another blood artist)
- Fume Spitter (good for sniping those little things like BOP etc.)
- Deathgreeter
- Harvester of Souls (Y U NO HAVE THIS!?!?!)
- Massacre Wurm (why not?)
- Mikaeus the Unhallowed (fun to have in recursion-y decks :)
- Bonehoard (excellent damage output in a deck like this)
- Pawn of Ulamog (amazing mana output)
- Quest for the Gravelord
- Sadistic Glee
- Scavenger Drake
- Blade of the Bloodchief (Essential)
- Mimic Vat
- Myr Sire (TOKEN SPAM!)
- Perilous Myr (DAMAGE SPAM!)
- Bloodflow Connoisseur
- Nim Deathmantle
- Mortican Beetle
- Ulamog/Kozilek (i prefer Kozilek)

And probably many more :) Hope this helps. I also have a mono EDH (MONO RED!) - check it out - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=359910

Dude, i'm sorry to be the one to point this out, but Kaho + Silence doesn't lock. Kaho states you CAST the card, not COPY the card, so basically, he does a "one off" type thing. I know, it sucks, I share the pain. I once went and bought/designed an entire Kaho EDH, before someone pointed that out to me. Sorry :(

Thanks for entering the Deck Challenge!

Cool, Personally i would run this as a Spell Replicating type of deck. Some things you may want in it:

- Riku, of Two Reflections (most spell-dupe decks have this as a general, but use him anyway!)
- Dual Casting (for Extra fun!)
- Rite of Replication (ever see the article on google docs about Precursor Golem + x2 Kicked Rite of Replications? if not, do it, it will blow your mind)
- Precursor Golem (why not?)
- Cackling Counterpart
- Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker
- Splinter Twin
- Heat Shimmer
- Spitting Image
- Followed Footsteps
- Mirror-Sigil Sergeant
- Parallel Evolution (HOLY SH*T dupe^2)
- Wort, the Raidmother

Basically every thing that dupes anything. Have fun :)
