Deck Description

found this idea from an online blog and this was what was discussed:

Just as before, the deck requires Quillspike, Nantuko Husk (or Phyrexian Ghoul or Vampire Aristocrat or Bloodthrone Vampire, or any creature that can passively sacrifice another), Pawn of Ulamog, and a creature with Persist. For the sake of this specific post, I am going to use Rendclaw Trow, the black and green 2/2 wither persist creature.

The biggest addition to this combo, in order to make it infinite, is the addition of either/both Bog Initiate and/or Initiates of the Ebon Hand (not that the latter costs only 1 to cast but dies at the end of the turn, though that shouldn't be a problem). The addition of a creature like this makes the combo infinite. Here's how it goes:

Step 1: Sacrifice a creature (Rendclaw Trow) to your sacrificing creature (Nantuko Husk). Pawn of Ulamog generates an Eldrazi Token. Rendclaw Trow comes back into play with a -1/-1 counter because of Persist.
Step 2: Sacrifice the Eldrazi token for .
Step 3: Use the with either Bog Initiate or Initiate of the Ebon Hand to generate .
Step 4: Use for Quillspike to remove the -1/-1 counter from Rendclaw Trow (or w/e Persist creature).
Now, as you can see, the only thing that has changed on the field is the addition of +2/+2 on your sacrificing creature (unless you didn't use one that gives +2/+2, which is fine) and +3/+3 on Quillspike. From here, you can continue to do this combo any amount of times.

So why would you want to use this combo? It uses far too many cards to execute consistently, doesn't it? Well it seems pretty casual. However, it does have some potential to be strong, as even without the complete combo your cards will have nice synergy. You won't be able to make any infinite combos but you might not need to.

So what other cards can you use in a deck like this?
The reason I decided to use Rendclaw Trow over other nice persist cards (like Kitchen Finks, which can gain you infinite life, or Murderous Redcap, which can deal infinite damage [both great choices]) is because of the possibility of Savra, Queen of the Golgari in this deck. Essentially, whenever you sacrifice Rendclaw Trow, you can force your opponent to sacrifice a creature. You would normally lose life to do this, but since you gain life with the same card (since Rendclaw Trow is both green and black) you don't pay anything. Obviously, Murderous Redcap would be a far better strategy. I was just being creative. Who doesn't want to kill any amount of creatures? It would counter any infinite creature deck that doesn't give them haste. It would also be an automatic kill, as your Quillspike/Husk would have a ton of damage that your opponent would have no blocker for.
There's also Mortician Beetle, as we discussed in my Quillspike deck post. He would have infinite power as well. You probably wouldn't really need this if you got the combo out, since Quillspike and Husk would have infinite power as well, but he still has nice synergy.
There is also Blade of the Bloodchief if you want to have a Mortician Beetle effect. Sadistic Glee would be the same effect.
The last card I found was Fecundity, which will allow you to draw a card every time your persist creature is sacrificed. This would be a great card for the deck even excluding the infinite combo, as it may allow you to find Rite of Consumption insanely fast (or any other piece of a combo you might need). The most ironic thing about Fecundity being in an infinite combo deck like this is that it would actually prevent it from being an infinite combo, as you would deck yourself out. However, finding whatever card you need can also be a very useful effect.
