Hey sure, how often do you mulligan with your extraction decks? I've been taking sample hands and not very many are playable. Around what turn does extraction put real pressure on an opponent's deck?

Pretty good deck, but it seems like splashing red for three cards isn't necessary. Making the deck black white seems like a good idea to me. Also, if you are going to play discard spells, Hymn to Tourach is better than Gerrard's Verdict.

Extraction is a deck type that aims to disable the opponent's deck by "extracting" the win conditions from it. Its really versatile, because every deck has a weakness that, if you are smart about it, you can exploit. The win comes from your opponent decking himself or Shimian Specter.

Odd you should mention blue-black extraction, I was just making one. It'll be up in an hour or so.

Liked it, try Student of Warfare as a good one drop. I'm also glad to see a knight deck with 4 Knight Exemplars, they are probably the best knight card available. I don't know how valuable Doubling Cube is to the deck, but I would replace it with some Honor of the Pure since all your creatures are white.

Check out my extraction deck, I can use all the help I can get. Thanks

Thanks man. I dunno though... I have the cards I need to finish the deck going for around 50 bucks on TCG. I've got trades going for 3 Hymn to Tourachs, 3 Isochron Scepters, and 4 Silences (decent replacement for Orim's Chant considering my budget). I guess if I were to upgrade the lands and everything to the really expensive stuff it would get pricey, but so far it hasn't been too bad.

There is an elf that makes insect tokens as elves come in to play, I think its called Hivemaster. That could be pretty helpful, you might want to try it out.

Thanks! =D I'm assuming youu are talking about Hide/Seek with the mana cost thing. You only have to pay for the half that you are playing, so Seek can be inprinted on the Scepter like you said.

First, thanks for the comment. I plan on using this casually with friends, but I go to legacy FNM every once in a while and would like it to be competetive. Price range is around 100 bucks.

Hey surewhynot, I made my first extraction/discard list the other day and need some advice. I was told that you are the guy to talk to when it comes to extraction, I hate to beg for comments but they really help. Thanks in advance.

Looks pretty good. I might add some mana acceleration like Seething Song or Geosurge, but with the Rebirths providing short game it might not be needed.

Just made an extraction and could use some help, please give it a look:

Thanks man, I appreciate the feedback. Can I kick it every time I play it with Isochron Scepter by the way? That would be boss.

Looks pretty freaking good quite honestly. All I could suggest is to slim down one-ofs to focus on cards that are really important for the deck to function. From what I see of the sideboard, its meant to alter the deck to be more aggressive and destructive, that shows promise. By the way, I could really use some comments on my new Extraction deck. I'm trying to get into extraction and could really use some help.

Endless Ranks of the Dead seems out of place, you haven't got enough Zombie creatures to make it effective.

Thanks! I've been thinking about Sharpshooter and I think I'll put one in the sideboard for Elf decks and the like.
