in other words, to over extend is to make sure what is in your hand is the perfect time to play it and not rush it

how do I explain this...uhhh...it took me 7 years to learn how not to do this.

ok, first thing is to never ever empty your hand, but don't be afraid to play a spell. Know when to play removal and when not to. you have to evaluate every situation and know when to play and when to hold back. always prepare for the couterspell and know every deck type out there and know when to sideboard and already know what to take out and what to keep in no matter what. the biggest thing is to think before you act and take your time. It just takes time and patience after a game never be afraid to ask for any advice from people around on what you could of done. also playtest, alot of it

if you play right..and think long and treat it like a game of chess and not over extend, you should be fine. Also, think about what creature you are gonna kill before you do it. need to eval your damage and think about how much more you want to take before doing removal. if you think long and hard and always be prepared for the mana leak ( keep an extra 3 open before playing a game ender) you should place first no problem. only real issue I see with you is valakut. only got 2 tech edges and Sadistic Sacrament you have to hope for real real early. i can see you topping your FNM no issue

ok equipment is 3..nighthawks are 3. assassins are 3. if you blow up a bomb with three and those are on the board and only one sword of feast and famine is on the board...who wins with the +1?

MBC with its spot removal, its discard ( i've been playing since unlimited and played the black summer of magic and made one of the first status decks lol) that is the only way to beat counterspell decks. make you discard, couterspell, ok i got rid of one lets go again lol. Also with the zenith it has teh only answer to monument decks, also with the titan and the Memoricide to kill any deck period i.e. get rid of win conditions. It is tier one no doubt about it lol

u/b is not as strong anymore. black red control would stop aggro with the board wipes so would blue white with the mass removal

the only big problem in a control v control match is a couple of things
A: who can win the counter war
B: who has more land
C: who has the faster win condition

tech edges help with mana for me
counters can be situational
and lumi can help me with the fast win against control

the only thing i don't like about acension on turn two is that is a mana leak. i would only drop it against control when i know i won't see a creature for 5-6 turns. otherwise i would rather deprive or mana leak. that is why it is sidedecked. its a situational drop.

was playing magic online with it and forced a tezz control deck to go offensive and make mistakes to prevent the lumi going off and won thanks to forcing them to play and i get to counterspell. it was awesome

now your trying to much for the deck. bonehoard is really only useful in dredge or with stoneforge to ensure you get it. Simplicity and not going all sorts of directions is what i recommend so no to the bonehoard. If anything add Consume the Meek in the sideboard and take out the equipment. that card is a beast

wurmcoil is a beast. dropping him in MBC is still a "WHAAAA!!!" factor cause everyone expects the grave titan. life gain is good. now to just get by those proc white creatures..oh yeah lol black sun. the deck looks hella better. just be careful with maze and those come into play triggers. I've seen it ruin some games cause you think "i'm at 8 i can't afford "X" damage" maze can be good but it can be bad. and if your looking for a place with duress ratchet bomb. those only work against high aggro anyway so switch them out when needed lol. just a thought :)
