Add 1x Buried Alive. It's not a spell you go crazy on, but having one-of in your deck will make opponents shit bricks that one time you draw it ;)

This is just my opinion, but Gatekeeper > Nighthawk. Just a thought.

Lol i'll side the BA,

I think that gatekeeper=nighthawk until you throw BotB into the equation! then niighthawk's value sky rockets

Ah, that is completely true. I also thought about it and disagree with my opinion. They are equally good in the right circumstance. Gatekeeper in this deck definitely is not better than Nighthawk. Gatekeeper works best in creature-destruction heavy decks like my bloody fast black.

Btw, if you don't mind, would you check my profile later? I'll be adding a deck called Three Swamps to Midnight, and would like some feedback on utility spells.

with kalastria highborn you need to make the choice of either going all-in with the card, or not at all. personally, i think the sacrifice based vampire builds centered around her are more powerful than the ones with the bloodwitch (such as swn's. it is good, but i can make one better. :P).

if you would like, i can work up a list of changes to make your deck operate smoothly as a sacrifice based vampire deck. :)

that would be great! thanks! yea vamps are definitely not my tribe =P they are too common and pretty, you dont really have to do much to make a good vamp tribe, the work comes when you try and make an above average vamp tribe.. i prefer weird tribes for sure

very well, this is what i would change. -3 urge to feed, -1 swamp, -1 vampire nighthawk, -1 dark ritual, -4 pulse tracker, -2 vampire hexmage, -1 vampire nocturnus, -1 captivating vampire. +4 bloodthrone vampire, +2 pawn of ulamog, +3 dismember, +4 mortician beetle, +1 verdant catacombs. :)

Hey really nice deck you've got here. However there's a couple of cards that I personally really don't like in here. I used to love the lacerators but looking at your deck the only form of lifegain you have to counter them is your nighthawks. With something like BotB in there I would replace the lacerators with viscera's seers. Also, I absolutely hate quag vampires! It's 1 mana for a 1/1. It's 3 mana for a 2/2. Etc. If you take a look at something like captivating vampire he's 3 mana for a 2/2 and buffs all those other vampires of yours! Plus if a situation comes up where they have something really scary of their field like emrakul you can then steal it!

There's my 2 cents... If you want to take a look at my vampires and tell me what you think! :D

I liked this advice until you said STEAL Emrakul. If you know what Emrakul does, then you'd know he wouldn't be able to steal it. Em has protect from every color. That means your Black Vampire can't use it's black ability to steal him. Drr.

@JMorgan reread Emrakul he has protection from colored spells not abilities so yes you can take him with captivating vampire

Great start. I would like to see another 2 lake of the dead paired with crucible of worlds, it works awesome with sacking bloodghast to the seer and ramping mana and the ability to sack the ghast to dig though the deck and buff blade of the bloodchief.

Looks a lot like my Vamp Deck to be honest. Great minds think alike! Question though, why bother having fetch lands when you are only running black? Why not just have a swamp instead? Seems like a waste to me. Could just have a swamp that won't cause you to waste 1 life.

i made this deck in real life based on what you put here although i altered it alittle bit and made some slight changes just until i can afford to get some nocturns. I didnt really see a need for all the special lands especially the legendary land. but instead of the 3 notcurns i have in palce 2 bloodlord of vaasgoths and a Sorin markov simply just until i can get the nocturns, although im thinking of putting in 2 nocturns and keeping sorin in the deck. i also dont like the mortitician beetles so i took them out and put in an extra vampire nighthawk, pawn of ulamog dark ritual and dismember.
