Deck Description

Changelog 17/3:
+1 Caves of Kolios
-1 Plains

How to Play

Altar of Dementia, Ashnod's Altar, Blasting Station, Vish Kal, Circle of Despair, and Martyr's Cause are the sacrifice outlets. Mill to death, infinite mana, kill board (and/or players), kill board + lifelinking beatstick, and damage prevention x2 respectively.

To create the infinite token generation, you just need Teysa and Darkest Hour. Black creature dies and you get a 1/1 white spirit, who becomes black due to Darkest Hour.

A lot of the remaining cards will start punishing opponents while either making or sacrificing your own tokens, or increase the strength of your board state.

If you have Avacyn in your graveyard and a board wipe is about to go off, you can flash in Twilight's Call for 8 to return all creatures in graveyards to play. Avacyn shields all of yours and everyone elses goes straight back. (Won't work with bounce or exile.)

Your legendary creature is supposed to be put in the sideboard, not in the actual deck.

ok first move Teysa to the SB. but second wow this.. this is very strong to me. i think only my Kaalia deck from the ones i have might stand a chance to beat this... i dont think i would change a thing about this, except maybe find room for sorin lord of innistrad.

wouldnt mind hearing how the deck runs, come by and tell your story at my blog if u dont mind. :D

I used to have a Kaalia deck. It was fun just slamming out the big guns turn 4. Only downside is you get hated on a lot :(

If I remember to, I'd be glad to write how the deck goes :D

I could actually improve on this by getting Emeria for extra recursion, and a Yoshei, the Evening Star to lock everyone down.
The Yoshei combo: Teysa, Darkest Hour, Yoshei, Ashnod's Altar and Nim Deathmantle.
1) Sac Yoshei to the Altar, gain 2 Mana, Yoshei's ability triggers.
2) Deathmantle ability triggers, then Teysa's triggers so Teysa's goes first, get 1/1 white spirit which becomes black on ETB.
3) Sac the spirit to the Altar, gain 2 mana.
4) Deathmantle resolves, pay 4 to return Yoshei to the battlefield.
5) Repeat ad infinitum.

There are many more infinte combos. I just don't want to be to much of a douche.

I like this deck, because looking though it, it embodies the orzhov syndicate in theory and in playability. Good build.

You will have to run Darkest Hour over Painters Servant because the Servant is banned.

Just a few days ago a "friend" of mine in the local playgroup that I am a part of used Army of the Damned and Crusader of Odric in a deck that is similar to yours. Those cards would be something for you think about because it worked out for him and he got the win.
