I already own everything on the list, from previous collections I've had. I had to drop a few bucks for the abrupt decay, but that's about it. You really don't like slip, huh? :p

I'm feeling what you're putting down dude. I definitely need to vary the two drops. 2 Thugs would be sufficient for me and I'm definitely going to vary the two-drops. 1 Asceticism would be nice, I'll see about taking the prey upon copies out and throwing in the tracker. I really like the feedback I've received from you with the side board. Thanks dude. Tron is definitely going to be a hard one pending their style. We'll see. "Bob"?

Blossoming Defense is what comes to mind as my first option, and Vines of Vastwood isn't shabby at all. I'd rather my Obliterator not be able to become the target of a spell, vice him still being able to be targetable and just indestructible. Both at the 1 drop level.

I have tried Setessan tactics before and it didn't bode well :/ Predatory Urge being a 4 drop as well, and an enchantment doesn't excite me; however, if I could keep my Obliterator out longer it would. I just need 1 - 2 successful fights with obliterator and I have the game. I had a friend play my "Scabiez" deck, a U/B Standard Control deck with the Scarab God at the helm. Tragic slip, Fatal Push, Path to Exile are a sonofabitch against obliterator. Burn decks haven't been too much of a nuisance for this deck, but those very cheap removal spells kick me in the nadz again and again. I'm thinking the best option might be to remove the two pounce, and find a playset of Destined//Lead since it over the indestructible option (even though that won't help against stat modifier cards like Tragic slip). Roar of Challenge is fun, I might find a way to take out one Prey Upon and just add that in.

Right on! That would be pretty gnarly. I think the build up above is pretty solid as it stands now. I want to see how this will fair against the top-tier modern decks out there in the wild

I'm curious, how does this fair against the current top-tier standard decks or is this for casual? I haven't observed a deck like this, but it seems like you have a control aspect for sure, mixed with a bit of weenie-pump. What is your win-con?

What is your ideal situation with this deck, seeing as its only legal in Vintage?

Valid point to accelerate the deck.
- Turn 1: Birds and Forest
- Turn 2: Birds and Two Forest (3 mana to play with, but I can't use Eldritch Evolution to fetch the Obliterator yet), so play any of the two-drop creatures
- Turn 3: Birds, three forest, and two-drop creature. Use Eldritch Evolution on two-drop, fetch obliterator, have additional mana to play with

RIP Deathrite Shaman...*cue Fort Minor's "Where'd you go?"*

Dude I know! Obliterator is so clutch and I just want to see him in a playable format and actually do things!

As far as the big baddiez go, I think I want to Obliterator to be the Apex of what I'm trying to do, win by having thee opposition remove their permanents because of his BAMF ability. I was scrolling through cards that can make creatures fight when they ETB, didn't see any worthwhile enchantments or artifacts; however, I'm not sure if its too much of a stretch to splash a little white for Dromoka's Command. Pounce and Prey Upon are obvious things to retrofit this deck for as well. http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?text=+[fight]&color=|[B]|[G]&format=["Modern"]&type=+[Instant]

Updated the deck to reflect additions from the last two blocks, I've been busy, apologies to everyone who fancies this deck! :] Let me know what you think. Notable cards removed were Polukranos, World Eator, Rancor, Worldspine Wurm, and Jugan, the Rising Star.

Definitely, something to add. For the past few weeks the local card shops have been sold out, and I currently only have enough for a playset in one of my standard decks (so my Fiance's deck happens to suffer). But you are absolutely right.

Creatures: 25
3 Kinjalli's Caller
4 Siegehorn Ceratops (4 Sky Terror 2/2 Flyer)
3 Wayward Sawtooth
3 Kinjalli's Sunwing
4 Ripjaw Raptor
3 Regisaur Alpha or 3 Charging Tuskodon (Which just happens to do ungodly things to life)
4 Carnage Tyrant or 4 Trapjaw Tyrant (Good Removal on either end, Trapjaw just costs less)
1 Zacama, Primal Calamity

Instants/Sorceries/Enchantments: 10
4 Lightning Strike or 4 Baffling End (Limited Removal, but creates a Dino-Token)
2 Blossoming Defense (2 in your sideboard as well)
4 Pounce (Fight)
2 Growing Rites of Itlimoc or (2 Vance's Blasting Cannons | Spitfire Bastion)

Land: 21
4 Unclaimed Territory
4 Rootbound Crag

Sideboard:
2 Blossoming Defense
2 Temple Altisaur
1 Form of the Dinosaur
3 Ixalan's Binding (Removal for standard)
1 Raging Swordtooth (For un-pumped Vampire Token removal and saporlings)

Notes:
Cherished Hatchling is definitely something you would want to work in here, as you want to remain creature heavy and keep the pressure on and strike fast...hatchling gives you the ability to fight other creatures which is nice. You could try and play Huatli, Warrior Poet if you'd like, but a 5cmc for this is a big investment for something that 2 drop removal doesn't have a problem getting rid of. The green white planeswalker, Radiant Champion might be a bit more playable. Consuming Fervor might help with a few of your lower costing things to get rolling. Insult // Injury might prove beneficial for a big hit. Sweltering Suns might help with token removal as well my friend. Prepare // Fight is good for gaining life and fighting which is always good for your big meanies. Haze of Pollen is your standard version of "Fog" for now. Mouth // Feed is also interesting for draw power. Rhonas is a definite consideration for taking down other dino decks. Struggle // Survive is something to look at.

remove the guildgates...they set you too far back on your turns. when your on turn 1 you wont be able to drop a spell and if you get to turn 2...and only have more guildgates in hand you'll soon fall behind the curve. one thousand lashes is no good, drop for pacifism. lyev decree is no good. get rid of victim of the night. you already have dreadbore which is uber better. beckon apparition has no place here. viashino firstblade should come out, along with sunborne guildmage, basilica screecher, and kingpin's pet. those cards dont help your deck flow. what is your primary method of victory?
