this deck is legal in modern format except for benalish trapper, which you could replace with blinding mage. sweet deck though, i like the onyx mage, blood cultist combo

two words: Semblance Anvil. destroying a permanent a turn for 5 mana is slightly ridiculous

My friend tried building a deck similar to this that worked out pretty well...went 3-1 in standard at our local shop. I like this build a lot though. I might suggest creeping corrosion and slag fiend for this deck. The corrosion is there if you have two or three wellsprings or simulacrums sitting around. It also completely wrecks tempered steel decks. Slag fiend would be completely ridiculous in here especially because you're focusin on artifact destruction. I've also found artillerize and beast within to work really well with the wellsprings and simulacrums in here. Those are just my thoughts, hope they were helpful.

wall of omens might be a solid addition in here. 0/4 blocker for one colorless, one white...plus it gives you card advantage and can be brought back with sun titan. sweet deck though

lotus cobra would be really good, but its rotating out in september. you could try it if you want to until then. I like phantasmal image better than the metamorph. even though it has the illusion drawback, its a good two drop filler.

Deck I'm thinking about helping my friend build, so any input would be great:

thing is, i dont want lots of big guys or else they will just sit in my hand. I want them in my deck so I can search for them with the pod. I do agree with having more urabrasks, however.

you could make a blue with control using it. you use glimmerpoint stag to exile permanents then end the turn with the sundial so they remain exiled. theres also a way to combo venser with oblivion ring, but its kind of hard to explain. Theres an article that explains it pretty well though if you want to read it:

sorry to say it, but this won't work. since spells like turn to frog say until the end of the turn, it doesn't matter if you end the turn prematurely or let it finish normally, the turn still ends and the effect wears off. you need spells with delayed triggered effects like putrefax. check out my sundial deck if you want to see what im taking about:

mana curve is pretty high and i dont think 2 tormented souls will cut it. consider child of night or bloodseeker for some good early drops that work well with the bloodlord of vaasgoth

if you add stonehorn dignitary, you can keep bouncing him to deny your opponent any combat phases

this deck is really sick. maybe some gideon's lawkeeper to get some early creatures that fit in nicely with the tapdown theme. besides that, this looks incredible, thumbs up man.

Consecrated Sphinx would be godly in this deck.

you definitely need 4 ascensions to make this work, otherwise its not a combo. I'd also suggest taking out quandary. I know how good it is and everything and I tried running it with the ascension too, but truth is...its too slow. you might want to add in a few creatures to put on some early pressure (I've found Bloodghast to really good in this role). Here's my bloodcrank deck if you want to take a look:
