Deck Description

my squirrel deck. i love this deck. the idea of beating someone with a ton of squirrels and hobos (deranged hermit) can not be funnier. sideboard is for multiplayer games.

any comments toward this deck or any of my others would be much appreciated. :)

when is an 8/8 not useful?

it needs to have threshold active in order to become the 8/8. the majority of my spells have flashback. the time it would take to get threshold is just too slow to be useful. :)

really nice deck, you don't see too many Squirrel decks. I'd love to play my friends. LOL

There was a period of time here on the vault where you saw a TON of Squirrel decks actually...But besides that, yeah they're not very common. It's always fun to see a new player fight this deck. Their reaction is always like, "Squirrels? Seriously?"

There was a ton of squirrel decks up until they banned Earthcraft

Earthcraft + Squirrel's Nest = Unfinite Squirrels

It's the fastest and most awesome combo ever short of channelball

i had forgotten that earthcraft was banned. i made this deck before that was the case, and just posted it here 'as is'. thank you for pointing that out for me. :)

BTW Biorhythm is just sick for multi player. :D

if some poor soul doesn't have a creature out there time for this world is gone. LOL

Also quick question. if you do cast that and they have a man land out and activate it's ability in response that still counts as a creature right? so there life total would become 1 instead? just thinking outside the box for a sec.

If you guys get a chance could you look at my equipment deck. it was really fun the way it was but I'd like to tweak it to make it better. I've already made some changes on here but it just doesn't seem to run very smooth when I do sample hands....

i am pretty sure that they cannot respond fast enough to survive before the effect resolves. biorhythm is great for that reason. it kills off anyone just like that. :)

They definitly can respond to Biorhythym being cast, with abilities such as "animating" manlands.

Isn't land animation sorcery-speed? =/

nonono, You can cast Galvanic Blast and respond by animating three Inkmoth's for metalcraft (one at a time) and if the opponent kills one, you can animate another before Blast resolves(metalcraft takes effect when the spell resolves, or it constantly checks if there are three artifacts). I think thats a good example.

Don't Land decks play manlands?

Well, yes, but they don't really animate them for anything other than chiseling away your life total, which is during sorcery-speed stuff. I think I subconsciously knew the rule, but sort of forgot about it because you really just don't run into that kind of thing too often =/

Sir, you deserve a medal for that deck name.
I'm sitting here looking through the cards... I've heard of squirrel decks, but I can't believe all these cards exist without tappin the "un" sets! I'd love to play or play against this deck sometime :D

I'd appreciate any feedback on my GW humans, if you could take a look! Thanks!

If the combo goes infinite you dot need double infinite

I know that swampyard isn't all that useful to most people but if you add in druids call you make a really good blocker considering how you create more tokens as you block, this is really good in keeping your opponent at bay while you slowly stack up assuming you have a slow start. Aside from that the 2x Gaea's Cradle are really good... but for around 75 bucks they better be right? I personally wonder why you didn't use a coat of arms it seems like the go to card for a deck like this... I have made a deck just like this, http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=255932 , but I don't know who's came first and I don't really care... these decks have been around for a while. I'm not a master so to speak so I can't really just tell you right and wrong but I want to know your reasoning why you didn't think of that kind of card. Oh, and you might want to try something like Alpha status/ Overwhelming stampede or something along those lines considering how much mana this deck seems like it generates i'm sure the 8 mana cost isn't enough to hold you back while you charge your opponent with something stupid like 60/60 's .... I use that combo in a wolf deck and still haven't found a person able to stand two rounds of overwhelming stampede and alpha status during a real match... not to say it's impossible... its just funny how unprepared most of my opponents are for that combo... Hit my decks up if any of you get a chance, I try to consider weird decks.
