Gyre sage is great and has the added bonus of bein an elf. Unfortunately I want my mana acceleration on turn one so I can cast yisan turn 2. Hence the sage had to be cut.

Against a wrath heavy meta whisperwood elemental and soul of new phyrexia can come in. Personally, I prefer whisperwood but I've tried to make this as streamlined as I could so they will come in if I am having troubles with wraths in the meta.

Hornet queen > avenger of zendikar because the tokens automatically have power so I can flash them in and make blocks. Also deathtouch. Oh and flying... in green. It doesn't matter if she makes fewer, I can bounce her and replay her. But her tokens are just more useful than 0/1 plants.

Panglacial wurm? No. Why do I want to pay 7 actual mana for a big dumb French vanilla creature?

Craterhoof is great but great oak guardian is better. It's cheaper, has flash innately, untap a everything so it functions as a combo piece. I'll likely add hoof back in just for redundancy.

It's not infinite since flashing back Snap with exile it.

See, I didn't really want to say it but I agree that the medic is kinda just lackluster as cool as it sounds.

You might try Midnight Recovery as well as some dual lands up in there. Seems like a sweet deck though man!

Honestly, I have no idea why people haven't been using Clan Defiance. Aside from the addition of that little gem, I'd suggest bring the numbers of Thrag and Huntmaster down to 3 and swapping Garruks. I feel that Primal hunter is so much better for this type of deck with that draw power. I know the triple green cost is heavy but it's totally worth trying it. Izzet charm would be nice too if anything for a speed bump for your opponents. Alchemist's Refuge can allow for you to either Bonfire or Clan Defiance or nightshade Peddler on their turn for some pretty sneaky moves. Also, not sure how much syncopate helps you out (I rarely play with it so i wouldn't know) but it seems like more of a sideboard option.

Hope I helped. :)

First thing: Thank you for not running Geists of St. Traft. They get annoying to see in every deck that runs U/W ever. Even though I'd still recommend them for this deck I hate them.

I do like the biomancer and Garruk in here and have had some good results with both recently. I'd say maybe gring the number of biomancers and thrags down to 3 and the number of Garruk up to 2. Not so sure how Zegana works out since i haven't played with her yet, so i may be biased when saying she can leave. I'd also suggest some Selesnya Charms (even if only in the sideboard) since dat exile option as well as the offensiveness of trample and +2/+2 later game.

Deadeye + Deceiver Exarch + Gilded Lotus = Infinite mana
Combine that with ANY other come into play effects and create infinite bouncing. I like pairing it with red for Zealous conscripts infinite bounce. But you can pair it with green for thragtusk bounces. Or elvish visionary bounces to draw into something better to bounce.

New ajani when he comes out. He can be fetched by sun tits. he also makes sun tits a 7/7 flying, vigilant, double striker. Soooo, he's good right?

I feel like black isn't really doing anything in this deck. It could be great spot removal (doom blade/go for throat) or great discard control (despise/appetite for brains). Black even has damage like grave titans. I feel like you should utilize black more or just drop it and put in Gideons for damage and even sun titans.

Why not have maelstrom pulse in there? I also agree with the people who say the land needs fixing. Try the fetch lands from zendikar and the dual land from Ravnica. color fixing is no problem now. I also request at least one siege-gang commander be put in. Because, deep down, he's everybody's favorite card.

+1 for general cruelty. I like it. My only thoughts are with the 1-ofs that are like 6 drops. Like burning sands? how are you going to kill their dudes? lightning bolts? then you're only gonna blow up a max of 4 lands and that's requiring too many lucky card draws. also horizon drake? It's a funny card but its rather meh. the dragon master outcasts are great especially if you get a bit of ramp and counter any hate towards them. maybe trinket mage to grab moxs and still have a grunt. having mana barbs out means you 'll be trying to use only artifacts for mana or like i said earlier and just cut the costs on some things. cloven casting is not needed. not at all

Just a question since i feel like i'm going to have to face this at FNM tomorrow, but what are counters to this deck. The last time i played goblins the kor firewalker was still in play and i'm wondering if there's a hard counter to this deck still.

I'll most likely be playing this: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=295401
Also, I feel like mortarpod would be decent as a finisher if you don't have a grenade but you do have a brimstone. it also adds a bit of beef to the gaveleer so it won't be IMMEDIATELY shot down by any burn.

Question what are you going to do when an opponent never has 3 or more creatures? i.e. a control deck.
Also, Gaea's Anthem might not be a bad idea so as to pump your little 1/1s or your other dudes that fetch lands (which i advise you to try to find better ones that ondu giant and borderland ranger).
Otherwise i like your combo even though I'd have other things to fetch with defense of the heart.
+1

Phyrexia's Core NEEDS to be in this deck, as does Buried Ruin. actually Perilous Myr would be great as well.
