guess you still dont understand, read nihil stone, it requires your opponent to have zero cards for it to do damage, read guul draz specter, it requires your opponent to have zero cards for it to get +3/+3, nyxathid gets -1/-1 for each card in your opponents hand, you have all of these cards in the deck, yet you want them to draw more cards? theres also a fundamental problem with having people draw cards when they have none, it allows them to cast spells and allows them to fight back, why allow your opponent to fight back purposely?

Hmmm... I can see this both ways especially since Nihil activates before Howling Mine. But giving them the chance to fight back is quite risky, afterall when they have cards in thier hand your creatures are very weak and once they have something on the field you lack a way to remove it.
Sign in Blood might be a good way to make them draw then discard. It deals damage and since its on your turn there is a lot less chance for them to play before you make them discard.
Why I never thought of Sign in Blood is beyond me, nice thought, give them only two cards and 2 damage does seem better than potentially giving them up to 5 cards on the draw step with Howling Mine. Thanks
