I would play some sort of blue dig spell to find the combo pieces (like ponder or preordain)

I think this deck is decent, I would play mana leak instead of negate.

the thing about swords vs wrath is exactly what you mention; it stalls them (like counters, but better) until you can wrath and for that reason I (personally) would never play less than four, especially against creature heavy metagames.

I would add fetchlands, especially because you are playing brainstorm. Tinker also seems good for this deck

I would play 4 swords and keep the wraths in against elves ( no matter the type)

IMO it looks pretty good. I would play 4 preordains and 0 ponders since you cant shuffle your deck, so preordain > ponder.

dissipate seems to be strictly better than cancel in this deck. I would also play 3-4 forbidden alchemy and 4 think twices and cut the ponders.
I like all your other card choices.

Vedalken Anatomist, Chancellor of the Annex, Suture Priest and Stonehorn Dignitary. These creatures seems bad for a control deck because their sorcery speed means you will be tapping out to cast them. They are also not very good in the late game. Chancellor of the Annex is a very expensive creature (manavise) but you are only playing 19 lands which seems bad to do in a control deck

why not just play one Darksteel colossus since you are going to tinker the robot out? I would also recommend sphinx of the steel wind as a tinker target

I think this deck looks good for a casual muc deck. IMHO the deck needs more draw spells (at instant speed). I would max out on wall of frost, its a great blocker.

why are you playing glint hawk idol in a control deck? This deck also needs some card-draw. I like the o-rings and the BSZ.
I would play dissipate over stoic rebuttal.
Just my 0.02 €

I would cut the random creatures and Feeling of Dread and play more counterspells, forbidden alchemy's and think twice's. I would also play more lands, since 19 is too few

Is it combo elves or aggro elves you expect to fight against?
