Deck discussion for [Modern] Gifts, re-vamped

Thinking about cutting 1 lingering souls for 1 Baneslayer Angel, or a Wurmcoil Engine. Possibly a kitchen finks?

Hmm.. I think I want some anti pod tech. it's a pretty popular deck, and resto is lameeee.
possibly memoricide main? :O
That could be really techy, hahaha

If you want a sweet singleton for Modern, and want a techy answer to Pod, I've had a few headscratchers from seeing Blood Artist.

This is a pretty slick Gifts list Ethan, but I don't know how I'd feel about having such few cards for removal. It's not an issue for a good many decks right now, but against Pod, it's handy to have a decent handful.

Blood artist is actually pretty sweet.. never thought about her!

And thank you! This list is actually undergoing immense tweaks. With Grand Prix Toronto in decemeber, I'm seriously looking for the best 75 of this style.

Yeah, if he could fully negate the damage from Redcap it'd be the perfect answer. But since you have a better aggro setup, I think you can put them in a sticky situation, and if they had to scry with Finks you should have it in the bag.

I'm actually leaning towards a heavier control list. There are actually a lot of cards I'd rather just do without. I might end up cutting the birds of paradise for more removal, actually. The speed is nice, but I'd forfeit the speed for greater stability.

And in regards to redcap, he's not even the main enemy anymore! Restoration angel/Kiki Jiki is :/ That list is definitely enemy number 1 at the moment.

Really? the crappy fake Splinter Twin combo is doing good now?

In a grand prix a month ago, I forget exactly which one, it occupied 4 of the top 8 slots. :/
It's just so resilient. Resto is protection in herself, and then next turn kiki jiki just wins. Plus they can still just beat down, it's a really good list.

Oh the list is fabulous, but the combo makes me irate. What gives it the power it has is that Restoration Angel and Kiki-Jiki aren't exactly useless on their own, but as a combo it's actually a bit less resilient than generic Twin I've found. It's kind of like Exalibur Bant vs Canadian Thresh.

I'm just surprised somebody hasn't made a foil for it yet.

That's where I come in! :)
Hopefully, I'll find an answer somewhere in these colors.

Blood Artist works well against Melira Pod, and against Restoration Angel the best thing to do is try and stick a Torpor Orb. But that's bad for pretty much any deck.
