Doubling Season, sadly, only helps the initial target number on the Planeswalker's loyalty counter otherwise it'd be even cooler!

I also neglected to see that it doesn't help Planeswalkers. :(

Yeah. I've noticed that people can take it reaaally seriously. The people I play with like it for its multiplayer practicality. You could still take a look at mine and see if you like it or have suggestions! :D

Everyone where I play likes to play EDH, so I had to build a deck to participate. Besides, its fun sometimes, at least if you have a deck that functions. XD

He's given me a lot of good advice in the past! :)

Maybe I'll get him to take a peek at my EDH deck. :D

I'm a big fan of Seeker of the Way in warrior decks.

I like it! Small pox can be such an evil card, too!

Replace Great Furnace with something that has a mountain subtype, whether its a shockland or another basic land! Having the artifact land doesn't do you any good, and having more regular mountains will be far more valuable with Valakut and Koth, unless I've missed something somewhere. :(

I see that it is for shrapnel blast, but I still think the Valakut > shrapnel blast in this case.

Also! You've been a super huge help! I appreciate it a lot.

You should peek at http://www.mtgvault.com/fairemont/decks/edhshadowborn-apostle/

Its my first attempt at an EDH deck. I based in on someone else's, but I fixed it up a little bit. I imagine there are things that could be done to make it a little better, but to me it doesn't seem to have many gaps where it can be improved (but I don't know a lot of cards yet). So, a little help there will be big!

Our EDH pool isn't super competitive, not like Modern or Standard, and tends to be played in teams and groups, obviously, but mostly teams. So, I think that deck is pretty solid for also not costing a massive amount! :D

Well, here's how I see it...

Like you've stated, my deck uses combos, so its easier to burn down 2+ cards that I use to make each other stronger. With lightning bolt, I can cast it cheap and whenever, but it also only targets creatures (or the player), which makes it handy in a deck where removing a pesky creature is useful. I have plenty of ways to obliterate creatures.

Blightning is slower, more expensive, but comes with the two force discards. If, for example, I play it, I have the potential of removing one creature from the field as well as two cards from their hand, which very well might be removal cards they would use against my sensitive creatures.

Blightning may be more valuable for me. Especially since I have plenty of terminate to take the place of quick removal. Thoughts?

Lightning bolts are cheaper to cast and instant, but... Blightning has discard two, even if its sorcery speed.
