What are your thoughts on dropping the mamba for piston sledges?

Nice Start! I would suggest putting in firefist striker over arena athlete. I understand its a heroic deck but, your more likely to hit Firefist striker's trigger over the athlete, especially with Akroan crusader, you should have enough creatures out early game to activate battalion.
What is your thoughts on piston sledge? turn three you could have a 4/2 glistener elf. if you did throw it in I would drop crystbearer
I have artful dodge in there mainly because If it gets milled It can still be used. But that is a good suggestion, I have been trying to fit some sort of graveyard retrieval without splashing black, If I could find that I would probably throw in whispersilks!

Balefire Liege would be good in this.
If you are staying with vintage/legacy, Burgeoning would work excellent to trigger landfall on opponents turn. which would benefit really only your rampaging baloth, your plants from avenger, and your overall mana pool.also,What would your thoughts be on Explore instead of scouting trek? I personally would use explore instead because you have the card draw, to kindof, replenish your hand. and I feel like in the long run scouting trek could really effect the speed of your deck. altough it seems to work well with oracle.... perhaps 2 explores and 2 Scouting treks
This looks more chaotic than Jhoira/ scrambleverse decks. I enjoy!

also I know Ajani Vengeant is awesome but with the Life gain theme you have going I would either put in Ajani Goldmane he has life gain as well as gives counters, also has the Phyrexian processor ish Ultimate ability minus paying the life.
I would take out the Processors and put in contagion clasp.

this looks pretty fun. The only change I would make would be Take out frostburn and put in blistercoil while still being (barely) in your $15 budget range. I used the medium price for both on TCGplayer and the total came to 14.83 Medium price.

I would definitely Replace Cancel with Dissolve, and it's about .20 to .75 so if that fits in your budget I would highly recommend doing that
Chromatic lanterns would do this deck some good.
