So how does one cast storm using something that triggers off an opponent? I legitimately want to know how this works because it looks interesting

I'm not sure as I've not played with / against this strategy, but I think it relies a lot off Waste Not's {B}{B} for the opponent discarding lands and the draw off the opponent discarding noncreature, nonland cards. The deck also has mass discard and draw in the form of Burning Inquiry and Reforge the Soul; which can allow more draw for you off Waste Not and Dream Salvage, which also helps you get the Rituals, Past in Flames, and Pyromancer Ascension to start storming the 'normal' way.
