Deck discussion for Talrand EDH

Interesting deck, have you played it yet?

Also, with all that card draw, have you considered adding Walking Atlas and/or Druidic Satchel to the mix? Being able to play an extra land each turn might be quite nice for you

Yes, I have played with it (few games only) and it worked fine. Only problem is the early game, you have to wait for Talrand. I was thinking about druidic satchel and exploration lens (hope this is the name), but ended up with armillary sphere as the cmc is low, no need for strong mana ramp up. Maybe after more tests I will change to satchel.

Sapphire Medallion, Caged Sun and Extraplanar Lens make really good ramp in Talrand as well

Since you're only running a couple of creatures consider Proteus Staff. In addition to being useable as a way to tuck enemy generals, it also lets you turn a drake into one of your amazing creatures. I run it in my Talrand along with just a couple of back-breaking creatures (Jin-Gitaxis, Stormtide Leviathan, etc).

In mono-blue decks Quicksilver Fountain can absolutely end people if it comes out early. Back to Basics can cause headaches as well.

Cards imprinted onto Isochron Scepter will trigger Talrand when cast.

Switcheroo is great here, too. "I'll trade a 2/2 drake for your general. Oh, and casting it makes me a drake."

Thanks for the suggestions - proteus staff is very good idea, I try to find a slot for it. Regarding the other cards: sapphire medallion would be great, but I don't have one :(
I don't like extraplanar lens as it takes a land when lost and I mainly keep counters to protect Talrand not artifacts
caged sun and switcheroo - cmc is a bit high but consider them
