I went with Revenge of the Hunted to push the lure style and to insta-kill with infect creatures.

I ended up putting in Phyrexian Hydra and some Pod. Let me know what you think of the updates. I'm actually stumped on a final card slot. I'm not sure what to do with it...

You could definitely use a sacrifice engine with grave pact, melira, kitchen finks, and blood artist. Something that has no cost like vicera Seer.

I'm building something similar with Necroskitter and I found that you don't really want to use Mikaeus, the Unhallowed because of his tendancy to give the creatures you stole back, bigger.

Not a bad idea but I was saving the 5 slot for non-creature support

I swapped out Skinrender for Flesh-Eater Imp and Vraska for Gutter Grime

Yeah, I got the idea a while back to put Glistening Oil and Melira together. I'm giving it some new attention and it should make for some fun games.

Needs removal for creatures. Prey Upon is a must in green beatdown.

Lets try some positive ones:

Ring of Renewal, Pledge of Loyalty, Heart of Light, Hand of Honor, Vow of Wildness, Cheap Ass, Rush of Blood, Rampant Growth, Show and Tell, Lay Bare, Give // Take, Go for the Throat, Assert Authority

Well that got sexual really fast.

Read the bones let the opponent off the hook when I playtested it. It set me up for hand advantage but I was starved for removal. I get my scry from my lands and I'll just choose to go second for the draw advantage. That way they will drop more creatures to Day of Judgement.

Shimian Specter just wasn't delivering much in the way of card grabs. I swapped him out for a couple Desecration Demons to pluck off any last servivors after Madness has scrapped their land.

Oh yeah, and in my playtest I took out a 7/7 trample Elderscale Wurm with just 3 soul tokens because of Zealous Persecution. The guy made a mistake, that's the beauty of instant speed. It had the added bonus of killing his Omnath and Llanowar too. It pairs really nicely with Lingering Souls because if I don't see my board clear I can drop the souls at 3, then at 4 flash back the souls and save 2 land for the instant. Suddenly double defense and weakened attackers is pretty sweet.

Well the idea with Zealous was that I wanted to get combat advantage for my tokens because in practice I lose more to blocking than to Descent. Casting it will kill any 1/1's, help my tokens beat the 2/2's, go one for one with 3/3's and 4/4's if double blocked. I think it will go further than doom blade.

Oblivion Ring was mainly to stop anything getting through a Day of Judgement, non-creature, non-destroyable, or late game big baddies. I can't really think of a better companion. As far as it getting sacrificed I just choose to sacrifice the Descent before the Oblivion Ring.

I do think Underworld Connections is pretty kickass for this deck though. I'll see if I can find room for a 3rd.

I see one card slot open. Try a Diabolic Tutor. You can get the Descent if you have Ascemble and Ascemble if you have Descent!

I'm really liking what this deck has become. Let me know if you put it together how it plays!

Artifact. Rakdos Keyrune is the best by far because of the 3/1 first strike. Go down to 24 lands with 3 keyrunes. Trust me you'll be happier you have the possible creature and ramp will speed up your turns to get your 5 cost enchantments out. Be sure to drop the black/red land for it, keep your white count up.

Other thing is, you're going to need a few removal spells. If you don't have a way to destroy a permenant or creature somehow you'll be very sad when someone reanimates or ramps into something crazy. Think about what you're setup is week to and put removal for that. For example, if you feel you're weak to single big creatures but can handle a lot of little ones with your tokens then put in Doom Blade. If you think you'll get overrun with little 2/2's before you can get your tokens out then put in Day of Judgement. If you can't decide put in both for the possibilities.

Also, think about your Mimic Vat. You've only got a few creatures that are not tokens. I think you're going to see a lot of scenarios where your creatures that die are going to be tokens and not trigger mimic vat. I'm not saying take it out entirely but 4 may be too many.

I would say you're a touch land heavy. No reason to go higher than 25 in my opinion, just put in ramp.

I think I can add another. Increasing devotion would not be useful in comparison because the flashback cost is prohibitive. Also the later game board clear works well with thopter.

The nice thing about the operation of Thopter assembly is that it's an upkeep trigger. You can choose the upkeep trigger of the Assembly before Descent to get thopters out, or Assembly after Descent to take out the remaining few thopter tokens and trigger it again.
