Kami and Alabaster works, you don't say?
Will have to try it one day :)
It rocks too that Alabaster is such a pretty card for so cheap!

Flames shot or Arc Lightning
It can get your opponent to 10 damage because you pick how much of the 3 damage your opponent takes.

Good luck.

+1 for the How to Play section.
Detailed and you explain why each card is in the deck.

Perhaps it would be as good.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Northy, more than most I know you can help me out here.

Bottom line, Tax Return is coming to USA.
I am getting a crap ton of money.
The entire last year getting back into Magic I have had to trade my cards to build decks.
I haven't had the money to buy cards. I have traded over 200 dollars worth of old cards to buy new cards/budget decks.
Well, as of 3 weeks from now, I will have money I can spend!!

Yippie!!!

Not much to other people...but I am going to have about $150 dollars to spend on cards.
I want to buy Staple cards.
Cards that do not go down in value. That are universally used in decks. That aren't something like Tribal (only good if they are in the same deck together like Goblin Lackey). That are highly ranked but cheap (Example: Leonin Relic-Warder, rated 4 out of 5 stars but under 1 dollar each!!!)

http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/list-of-stamples-you-decide/

Please go to that link and throw down some names of really excellent, highly ranked, adaptable, cheap Staple Cards.
I assume you will do the best because of the sheer volume of Budget decks you have made. You know really good cards, for budget prices, when you see them.

Anyone is welcome to help out.

P.S. Obelisk of Turd! :)

Even stuff like 4 Gitaxian Probe or 4 Manamorphose may be too expensive.
True...I love them and and want 4 each...but just buying those 8 cards cost: 20 dollars!!

And Gitaxian Probe is ranked 4.3 out of 5 stars.
Manamorphose is ranked 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Both over 2 dollars each
Leonin Relic-Warder is ranked 4.3 but only cost 25 cents. Same rank as Gitaxian Probe, but much cheaper.

That is why I need your help.

With Check lands like Drowned Catacomb...if I were to buy lands.
Or, as stated 2 more City of Brass and 4 Mana Confluence.

I rarely play dual colored decks....and NEVER play 3 color decks.
So Fetch/Shock lands aren't really needed.
If I played Tourneys or something other than just Casual games...then I would buy them.

Probably not needed.

They use to be 24 dollars too!
Wow, under 4 dollars each, Old Boros Reckoner?
Must of lost that value when he dropped out of Standard.

That is why I refuse to play Standard.
A 24 dollar must have card turns into a 3 dollar card within a year of not being Standard anymore.

Who wants to pay for a 300 dollar Standard deck to see it end up a 50 dollar deck?
Who wants to lose that kind of value?

Not sure with 150 dollars I could buy many duals or Fetches.

I am getting depressed now.
150 dollars was, at early thought, a shit ton of money for me to invest in Magic.
Now looking at some prices for Staple Cards and Dual/Fetch lands...Jesus Christ!!!
No wonder since getting back into Magic and learning about this site...I have kept my nose in Budget decks!!!
Now, it seems, I can get about 5 cards for 150 dollars.
Ouch.

There you go old friend.
Help me start a list.
That goes for everyone else too.
I have about 150 dollars I can spend.
Doesn't sound like much when you consider a playset of Daze is 13 dollars.
But 150 dollars, to splurge, is a lot to me.

So...please...go check out the link.
I have about 3 weeks until I get the money.

I like Furnace of Rath over Dictate, but yes, it is a nasty idea: double damage.

I would say...that outcome won't always happen...but for the times that it does happen, 140 dollars would be worth it.

I very much like this deck.
The Madcap/Horde idea looks nice.
I have never tried it.
