Deck Description

Heya guys, gals, and trolls.
This a casual deck of 65 cards that is well designed to take on any deck. The idea of this deck is to counter all spells and destroy some lands to let my shadows run rampant. Undermine, Choking sands, lighting Bolt, smash to smithereens, and my mystical tutors are the back bone of my deck. Surprisingly I have not lost with this deck yet, but is pretty new. LEMME know what you guys think, I AM also open to friendly idea's for my sideboard. =D

Wow, counter some spells with undermine, use choking sands on some beastly lands, smash some artifacts with smithereens and have a couple of shadows out and you can have yourself a GG match.
Good deck!

Unless I'm missing some weird combo

Better lands

The vivid lands from lorwynn are strictly better than seafloor debris and bog wreckage, and could probably replace all the gemstone mines as well.

Haha those Undermines bring back some good memories - one of the main cards that got me playing UB decks more often. - i pride myself on developing decent sideboards but its late here ill have a look tomorrow and try and think of some suggestions.

What even is!?! I have no idea what happened with this deck. It works but it shouldn't. I've never seen something so spastic run like that before.

Oh man, this looks like fun. XD I always find myself appreciating the decks that use the less played evasion mechanics and use them well. You're causing lots of problems for your opponent and there's not much most people can do to prevent Shadow creatures from going through. LOL

My only suggestion would be to either replace the Terrors with Terminates or SB the latter, at least, because Terror is a dead card if you're facing a black or artifact based beck. Maybe even SB two more Smash to Smithereens.

Ooo, for a fun combo with Kismet -- Royal Assassin! XD

I agree 100% terror died a decade ago. But i just love it sooooo much LOL.

dude i love it especially that gorgon queen but just imagine if you put a pyromancer ascension in 2 counters on it and you copy every spell you cast you get counters by playing instants or sorceries that share a name with a card in your graveyard so just play 3 choking sands and you copy all of your spells from then on

Righto - for your sideboard there are two strategies to consider. 1) alternative strategy (ie. you surprise your opponent with a strategy flip they aren't expecting) ... or 2) screw your opponents deck type over...

i prefer option 2 due to the decks robust design.

You don't want to go messing up the fine balance of your deck so these cards are designed for you to choose only 3 to slip into the deck in certain situations,

3 red elemental blasts
3 blue elemental blasts
2 terror (so versatile)
3 nihil spellbomb (graveyard recyclers plus you get bonus drawing)
1 pyromancer ascension (id try and squeeze two in the main deck :P)
3 disenchant (the ability to destroy either enchantments or artifacts is so strong against many strong deck types)

I will admit - very basic sideboard options - but due to how robust your deck already is - these are the cards i would choose just to bolster it for those certain situations that arise against certain deck types.

Cheers, Ant.

If you find your deck holds up really well in most situations but just struggles against a certain type of deck then you will want to sideboard for that certain deck type - just think about what really troubles your deck and think of the cards that counter that.

For instance if you struggle against land destruction decks because you are reliant on your multicolour land production, then you could consider Teferi;s Response (Counter target spell or ability an opponent controls that targets a land you control. If a permanent's ability is countered this way, destroy that permanent. Draw two cards.)

or if you run up against a green ramp deck Lifetap could be handy (Whenever a Forest an opponent controls becomes tapped, you gain 1 life.)

There are so many great sideboard type cards available and i think that the sideboard is an under utilised aspect of tournament strategy for many players.

So really it is about knowing your own decks weaknesses and building a response to those weaknesses.

Anyway apologies if some of my suggestions don't fit your deck type but its just some friendly ideas tossed around to consider :)

Good Luck with your awesome deck design!

great choices for the sideboard - in your deck i would find a way to run 2 pyromancer and 2 Mark of asylum as main deck and you'll be unstoppable! Thanks for correcting my choices to hydro and pyroblasts! i am old school and get my releases mixed up sometimes (im an Alpha/Beta guy :P)

With your type of deck you wont need to sideboard a lot so splashing 2 of each card is fine

I always go at least 3 of each sideboard card because they are there to really there to hassle the other player. But i like how you roll!
