Other than no including Mycoloth, this is a very awesome and original deck. I've never thought about using persist in devour. I'm not sure how this plays, but by guessing, i'd rate this 3/5 or 7/10. Anyways, nice build.
I think you should just buld a huge green mana deck and throw four in. It sounds to simple, yet it's a really powerful deck, with Llanowar Druis, Llanowar Elves, Garruk Wildspeaker, and Harrows it's so easy to get out. Than just throw in four Howl of the night pack, and four Overruns to ensure your win.
I'd replace the two Venser Slivers, and all three Watcher Slivers with three more Virulent Slivers because they stack, one Heart Sliver, and one Winged Sliver.
Hmm, interesting you say that. If Slivers are for noobs, and to you Slivers are annoying, are you implying they're hard to beat? Because if that's the case, you might as well imply "Decks that are hard to beat are for noobs".
