Although I'm not sure if it's legal in standard Dingus Egg would be cool to run in this as would exquisite blood. Deal more Dane when lands die, and gain life from it.

Lilliana vess would be cool in this. Use the stuff you have to get a bunch of creatures in the graveyard and pull her ultimate off and gain control of all of them.

Damn spider! Good deck - I can say from playing against it that it can give you plenty of trouble if you let it get rolling. I think she's added some killer bees since which, with all the mana it makes, can be pretty vicious!

It's definitely a great card, I have 1 and have rotated it in and out of my decks periodically. I problem I've found I get myself into at times putting decks together is that I try to make them do too much. i.e. I want counter, I want card draw, I want graveyard manipulators, etc.., and then the deck just gets mired down and looses focus on the original combos were meant to do. I stripped my blue black down to what the deck list shows right now and ran it tonight and did pretty well. I ran into a mono black vamp deck that got me, but it was a good game. Anytime I loose a game I tend to want to make adjustments but have to resist the temptation sometimes. I will probably pick up a few more strip mines and toss them in, I just find if I get the deck much over 65 cards it just gets bogged down and I don't usually much much extra mana over 1/3 so to a degree I do rely on getting my colored mana.

Haha- you do like strip mines don't you ?? So the thought with the snow covered lands is this. You run living plane and turn all lands into creatures then you run bike blight and give all creatures of that name (I.e. Forest) -3/-3 so all your opponents forests die. In this scenario the only lands I would loose would be my bayou. "Snow covered forest " is not "forest." So the effect doesn't hit it. When all there lands doe they take damage from dingus egg.

I do like Sorin A LOT. He can come straight in and deal 10 damage which can help me keep pace with some faster decks. I may pull the vial. I think the mind twist would be really good early to slow down my opponent in 1:1 duels so I do really want to try that. Thanks for all the advice - much appreciated!

Yeh, sorry bout that, I was trying to correct a type- o in one of the earlier posts and I hit delete after I had copied the text and when my browser didn't respond I hit delete again and it unfortunately caught up and deleted both. I am going to try some fetches in my vamp deck ( I'm still waiting on a couple prices for this on like the dauntless escort) so I'll try to snag some next week and see how they do if I like them in my black/ blue deck

Pushkin,
Yeh candelabra was on there by mistake. I sometimes notice I will delete something on this site and it either doesn't delete or in not saving it right or something. I was trying to do an infinite mana combo that didn't work. I thought about BOP instead of llanowar but I'm running priest of Titania so I thought they would work better since they are elves. I'll try to update the description. I think that with the right opening hand it could be quick. I've got elvish piper as one option, defense of the heart, or quicksilver amulet so there are three different options for getting stuff in faster, plus just plain mana ramp from the elves or artifact. I'll try to make the description more accurate. I started in 94/95 , stopped after homelands, and just got back into it around Jan of this year. I had a small box of my old cards still but was playing against people running more modern stuff and I have had to evolve ?? Thanks for the tips! I'll try to incorporate them!

So here is where I am at on this- I scored a couple polluted deltas and want to give this get gland thing a try but my dilemma is this: I am at 60 cards now. The deck runs fairly well there and when it was at 70 it tended to get pretty bogged down trying to too much. So, in order to put these in do you reckoned I remove other lands in exchange for the deltas or do I just throw em on top and go 62. I also want to throw in a couple of other creatures ( maybe captivating vamp a a bloodghast?) . The potential " win" plays in it are Bloodwitch/ rites, hatred nighthawk ( I know you do t like that one but it has yet to burn me) , or dark depths/hexmage. I really wanted to toss in that mind twist after you mentioned it so I could toss in one mind twist and one braingeyser, one captivating vamp and the deltas then run 65 cards. If I am playing against mono green I would take out two mana drains in exchange for two Deathgrip and maybe exchange the vial and one creature for perish ( I considered the other mass creature removal you suggested but then my guys go as well, I felt like perish was more targeted and efficient). I appreciate the advice- thanks!

Yeh, I actually thinned this deck a bit last night after playing s friend of mine. I'm going to sideboard the Deathgrip and perish just for green opponants, remove slight of mind all together. When I first put the deck together most of the creatures were all threes for the casting cost. I added nocturnus and the hexmage later so I may pull it. It still serves me well when I get the three counters on it early because people can't counter the nighthawks. Hatred works awesome in This deck - one of my fav combos! You cast it on the nighthawk if an attack gets through, you can pump him by whatever your life is and it costs you nothing. Mind twist would be cool. I do run time twister in it, I must have just not put it on the list here. I do put braingeyser in here off and on, I think I pulled it recently to try the vampire nocturnus, but I am going to pull that out. It seems like a good card but it makes the deck no fun for me- I don't like knowing what's coming up next ??.

if playing casual a feldon's cane would do well with this deck to prevent it from milling itself out.
