Not a bad choice, and he does fit in well. My only concern is his mana cost. I wanted this deck to be as fast as posssible. I'll put him in the sideboard for now.

I considered the shock lands. I suppose they could fit in pretty well. I will update the deck list, see how they fit in with some test hands, and update accordingly.
